  • Patent number: 11939726
Abstract: A multi-layered web is disclosed that is resilient and/or elastic in the Z-direction. Thus, when the web is compressed, the web assumes a compacted state and then expands to an expanded state when the compressive forces are removed. In one embodiment, the multi-layered web includes a middle layer made from a resilient blend of fibers positioned inbetween two outer layers. The middle layer, for instance, can contain elastomeric fibers, three-dimensional fibers, and/or debonded fibers.

  • Patent number: 4909876
Abstract: Upper and lower rollers have grooves for a bead ring having a clamp area portion produced by a bead winding machine. The bead ring is placed in the groove of the lower roller with the beginning of the clamp area portion in position for pressing by lowering of the upper roller so that the bead ring is engaged by the groove in the upper roller. The rollers are oscillated between the pressing position at the beginning of the clamp area and the end of the clamp area to roll the top, bottom and sides of the clamp area portion during the movement of the bead ring. The pressure on the bead ring is released by raising the upper roller at the initial pressing position at the beginning of the clamp area so that the bead ring may be removed with the same orientation it had when it was placed in the groove.

  • Patent number: 4867634
Abstract: A turbocharger turbine housing particulate debris trap for collecting all unwanted exhaust gas entrained particles before engagement with the turbine wheel. The trap can be located anywhere in the exhaust system upstream of the turbine wheel and is designed to take advantage of both inertial and gravitational forces. Systems for purging the trap of collected debris is also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 4394828
Abstract: A cable stripping tool for the stripping of sheathing from multi-conductor ribbon cable of various widths includes a blade mounted for the simultaneous slitting of the two longitudinal edges of the cable sheathing without damage to the enclosed conductors. A guide element projects forward from the blade to direct the blade into the cable between the sheathing and the enclosed conductors. In a particular embodiment, the blade has two cutting edges mounted at a 60 degree angle to each other to provide a self-aligning feature.

  • Patent number: 4273521
Abstract: A helical gear pump, compressor or motor including an inner member with an external helical gear form having n starts, an outer member with a cooperating internal gear form having n.+-.1 starts. The inner member is provided with a first externally toothed gear and the outer member is provided with a second externally toothed gear. A geared connection between the first and second external gears synchronizes the rotation of the inner and outer members so that they can rotate relative to one another independently of any contact between the helical gear forms of the inner and outer members.

  • Patent number: 4185923
Abstract: A method and apparatus for providing an insulating material, for example for a building, in which a premix of water and cement is provided, an air foam is formed by introducing air under pressure into a mixture and a foaming agent, and this air foam is introduced into the premix which is then stirred together with the foam, and the resulting mixture is pumped to the site to be insulated.
