    Abstract: By providing a plurality of cylindrically shaped tube members nested together in coaxially aligned relationship, with each tube member being connected to a separate and independent control segment, with the control segments being constructed for raising and lowering the associated tube segment, an easily produced, reliable, dependable, and highly portable telescopically extendable and retractable multi-element system is realized. In the preferred embodiment, each control segment incorporates a separate endless loop drive belt which is cooperatively associated with a pair of pulleys mounted at opposed ends of the segment. Furthermore, each control segment is interconnected to the endless loop drive belt of an adjacent segment for causing all of the segments to move simultaneously in response to the initial movement of a first control segment.

    Abstract: Apparatus and method for displaying bulk items and selectively dispensing a designated quantity of the bulk items from a multiplicity of the bulk items upon demand includes containing a multiplicity of bulk items in a volume of the bulk items within a bin and simultaneously conveying bulk items in a horizontal direction toward one end of the bin, adjacent the bottom of the bin, and in a vertically upward direction, adjacent the one end of the bin, to move bulk items from the volume of bulk items to an elevated dispensing outlet, in response to a demand, while at the same time tumbling the bulk items within the volume to separate the bulk items from one another for delivery of the designated quantity of individual, discrete selected bulk items to the dispensing outlet.

    Abstract: A vane pump assembly which uses a biasing means for regulating the internal and maximal output pressure of the vane pump rather than the maximal output of the pump motor. The pump assembly includes a motor having an output drive shaft, a housing having a front end and a rear end seated on the motor, a cylindrical member received Within the housing, first and second closure members which overlie the respective front and rear ends of the cylindrical member, a cylindrical hub eccentrically received on the drive shaft within the cylindrical member, a plurality of vanes disposed about the cylindrical hub, a cap member covering the front end of the pump housing, and a resilient means disposed between the motor and the second closure member for selectively biasing the cylindrical member between the first and second closure members and enabling the pump to develop a preselected maximum output therefrom without halting rotation of the cylindrical hub.

    Abstract: The improved cleansing cream has a wrinkle-reducing effect when periodically applied to and rubbed into the human skin in wrinkled skin areas. The cream is non-irritating to the skin and includes a plurality of water-soluble granules which are of sufficient size, quantity and hardness to abrade the keratinized outer epidermal layer of the skin. The granules may be one or more inorganic salt, but preferably include one or more water-soluble vitamins and/or water-soluble vitamin-yielding salts, The cream also includes a base in which the granules are substantially uniformly disposed. The base preferably is in a major proportion with respect to the granules and is an oil and a petrolatum jelly. The water-soluble granules do not clog the pores of the skin but are absorbed into and nourish the skin.
