Patents by Inventor Donald E. Davenport

Donald E. Davenport has filed for patents to protect the following inventions. This listing includes patent applications that are pending as well as patents that have already been granted by the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).

  • Patent number: 4486490
Abstract: A novel electrically and thermally conductive prepreg is provided comprising a resin impregnated fabric woven from a multiplicity of dielectric fibers at least some of which are metal-coated, e.g. aluminum-coated glass fibers. Articles made therefrom are useful for dissipation of static electricity, lightening strike protection, EMI shielding and antennae surfaces. Directional conductivity is achieved by orientation of the metal-coated fibers in the ply.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 31, 1980
Date of Patent: December 4, 1984
    Assignee: Hexcel Corporation
Inventors: Gary L. Patz, Donald E. Davenport
  • Patent number: 4383942
Abstract: Apparatus and method for enhancing the electrical conductivity of conductive composite materials and the product of the process are disclosed. An electric current is caused to flow in the composite to drive down the resistivity to levels of 10 ohm-cm or less.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: January 21, 1980
Date of Patent: May 17, 1983
    Assignee: MB Associates
