  • Patent number: 4575879
Abstract: This safety seat closure is designed to prevent small children from being injured or killed, when using toilet commodes. Primarily, the closure consists of a base member with a cover, and a pair of shafts in the structure are secured to two pair of lever arms, which are secured to the seat and lid of the commode. The structure further includes interior mechanisms for locking the lid and seat closed, and also unlocking the seat and lid from their closed positions.

  • Patent number: 4440588
Abstract: An improved hot air welder which includes a blower communicating with a heater assembly mounted on a chassis wherein the chassis has coupled thereto a pressure wheel and tracking wheel, includes means for adjusting the angle of orientation of the pressure wheel and tracking wheel with respect to the chassis in order to obtain a proper pressure bias through the pressure wheel on the seam over which the pressure wheel rides, and for providing a proper orientation of the tracking wheel according to the slope of the roof upon which the welder is driven. The welder can accommodate inside and outside seams with equal facility. The air dam has an improved roller track to more evenly apply pressure against the underlying roofing material. A guide member slidably engages and accommodates roofing material from both the left and right sides to assist in guiding the hot air welder along the seam to be welded. A constant speed blower controlled by a gate valve controls the amount of air to the heater assembly.

  • Patent number: 4039643
Abstract: Improvements in the method for transporting and positioning thermoplastic sheets in a vacuum-forming machine are disclosed. The vacuum-forming machine has a stationary, lower platen which supports the lower mold half and an upper reciprocating platen which carries the upper mold half. This construction provides for minimal overall height of the press used in the vacuum forming and also achieves a high precision of mating of the lands of the opposed die faces so that a minimal land area is provided, permitting the formation of molded hollow enclosures from the thermoplastic sheets which have tear trims about their outer periphery to facilitate the removal of excess sheet material therefrom. The method of transferring the thermoplastic sheets between the opposed die faces of the vacuum molding apparatus includes the steps of supporting the thermoplastic sheets in upper and lower vertically spaced apart, open frameworks which are moved between heating stations and the molding station.
