  • Publication number: 20160349787
Abstract: A knob extender for a knob of a horizontal tilt window guide assembly is provided. A rigid body has a proximal portion with an axial clear hole of a size sufficient to insert the knob in tight fitment. The knob is pivotally coupled to a lower end of a angular support arm for selectively engaging the lower end into a predetermined guide slot position of a horizontal tilt window guide. A travel limiting stop is positioned between the proximal and distal portions at a predetermined position so as to limit an axial distance of insertion travel of the knob within the clear hole so that a proximal face of the body is retained in a spaced relationship away from an interior surface of a front wall of a window frame while operating the knob extender to adjustably position the horizontal tilt window with respect to the predetermined guide slot.

  • Patent number: 8001920
Abstract: An apparatus for coating or breading food products, such as chicken parts, includes a rotating drum with end caps closing the loading and discharge ends of the drum. Apertures are defined in the end caps for the passage of the food product, in which the apertures are situated along the central axis of the drum. A spiral grate inside the drum receives the food product and conveys it toward the discharge end. The spiral grate supports the food product proximate the central axis so that the product is more fully and uniformly coated with the particulate material. The spiral grate is configured with a gap at the discharge end so that a portion of a discharge ramp may be disposed within the gap to receive the prepared food product for discharge.

  • Patent number: 5622100
Abstract: A smoke abatement assembly is provided as an adjunct overlaying a cooking device such as a broiler or fryer system in a commercial restaurant. The smoke abatement assembly comprises a sealed housing which supports a low-pressure flame arrester, between 1 and 10 inches above the cooking area of the cooking device. A catalyst module is also removably mounted within the sealed housing above the flame arrester. The module includes a plurality of spaced low-pressure oxidation catalysts of controlled thickness, between 1 and 6 inches thick. The plurality of catalysts have a combined thickness equal to the thickness of a single catalyst providing the optimum catalyst volume or contact time for the installation. Each of the components, that is the flame arrester and plurality of catalysts, defines a smoke access area substantially equal to the cooking area of the broiler or fryer.

  • Patent number: 5051169
Abstract: A flour sifter for separating doughballs from fine particulate matter in a breading mixture, comprises a hopper for receiving the breading mixture. The lower portion of the hopper includes a sifting screen along most of the longitudinal length that is sized to allow only the fine particulate matter to pass therethrough. The hopper may be an insert for a sifter table that is readily removably mounted within a flour sifter enclosure. The hopper insert is mounted to accommodate a breading lug above the insert. A slot at one end of the hopper is large enough for the doughballs to pass therethrough. The enclosure is provided with mounting flanges to support another breading lug below the hopper insert to receive the sifted fine particulate matter. A doughball ejector chute is associated with the slot of the hopper insert to direct the doughballs from the hopper insert to a doughball collector pan. The hopper further includes an auger brush having a helical pattern of bristles along the length of the brush.

  • Patent number: 4157071
Abstract: Disclosed is a cylindrical housing mounted within a frame for rotation about its vertical, central, longitudinal axis. A chordal wall divides the cylinder into chordal segments and diametrically opposite access openings in the cylinder sidewall give access to each of the segments. A tray diametrically movable in one segment is controlled by a handle extending into the other segment. Sealing members prevent air leakage between the frame and the cylinder for all rotative positions of the cylinder within the frame.
