  • Patent number: 5906165
Abstract: A tray for the transport of nursery plants and the like has a bottom and movable side walls. The side walls may be easily placed in one of three positions. When in the lowermost position, the side wall is even with or below the bottom for allowing plants to be loaded or unloaded. After plants are loaded, the side wall is placed in middle or upper positions to retain the plants on the tray during transport. The side walls are retained on the tray by brackets that are configured to prevent dislodgment during vertical motions incident to bouncing of the vehicle during transport.

  • Patent number: 5609451
Abstract: An improved shelving assembly for transporting and displaying goods on a carrier incorporates a cylindrical shoe with a rounded top and a lower flange that compliments the shape of a series of posts set into the bed of the carrier. The posts set into the bed of the carrier are preferably arranged so that the shelving units tilt inward toward the center of the truck bed, thereby reducing the shifting and spillage of items placed on the units while at the same time shifting the weight of the load toward the center of the carrier bed.

  • Patent number: 5233931
Abstract: A tray for transporting and displaying merchandise includes a bottom for supporting the merchandise, a sidewall for retaining said merchandise on the bottom, and foot members which are capable of engaging another, vertically adjacent tray. The sidewall includes a first side portion which is mounted for movement between a first position for retaining the merchandise on the bottom and a second position for permitting the merchandise to be removed. During shipment, the sidewalls are vertical to retain the merchandise.
