  • Patent number: 5862529
Abstract: New face masks protect a wearer's eyes against impact by a projectile or the like. In one aspect, the face mask comprising a plurality of frames, each of which is adapted to fit onto the wearer's face around one of the wearer's respective eyes, with each frame having mounted thereon a bar arrangement comprising a plurality of generally vertically directed protective bars. The bars are variably spaced in a horizontal direction and mounted into the respective frames so as to avoid obscuring the wearer's vision in any direction of the wearer's field of vision when both frames mounted onto the wearer's face. A "frame mounting arrangement," which in one embodiment includes a nose guard that is mounted between the frames to be situated over the wearer's nose, and a strap attached to both frames to extend behind the wearer's head, holds both the frames onto the wearer's face such that one of the frames is fitted around one of the wearer's eyes.

  • Patent number: 4314744
Abstract: A multipurpose photographic film handling cassette is provided with a modular fluid processor assembly which is adapted to be initially supported, during cassette assembly, within the cassette housing in a preliminary assembly position wherein it is spaced from the path of the film strip and wherein it cooperates with at least one of the other cassette components to thereby permit such component to also be in a preliminary assembly position within the housing. The modular processor is displaceable from its preliminary assembly position to a final assembly position wherein the processor is supported in operable engagement with the film strip. Such movement also results in movement of one or more other cassette contained components from preliminary to final operable positions.

  • Patent number: 4255025
Abstract: Method and apparatus for covering a sealing surface of a sealing strip which releasably seals processing fluid in a film cassette contained fluid processor. The apparatus includes a flap portion connected to the sealing strip in a manner which enables the flap to overlie the sealing surface when a leading end of the strip connects to and moves with a strip of film during rewinding of the film onto a film spool so as to effect release of the processing fluid.

  • Patent number: 4254919
Abstract: A two-piece spool is disclosed for winding of a flexible strip and includes a pair of interconnected members having flanges. One of the two members has a tongue extending from the flange thereof and the other has means for slidably receiving the tongue. The receiving means includes structure responsive to sliding engagement with the tongue for forcing the tongue into a flexed condition from an initial condition to retain the members in their interconnected arrangement. A method is also disclosed for allowing manual loading of unexposed film wound on a spool in a film cassette by using separable spool members including a separable cover.

  • Patent number: 4214822
Abstract: A multipurpose film handling cassette of the type in which a photographic film strip is exposed, processed and projected without removal of the film from the cassette is provided with a one-piece indicating element for signaling to the apparatus with which it is to be used the unprocessed or processed condition of the film within the cassette. A contact element is mounted within the cassette for rotation about a fixed axis from a first position wherein it will operatively engage a signal generating terminal of the apparatus thereby indicating a given process condition of the film within the cassette, to a second position wherein it will not operatively engage the signal generating terminal of the other apparatus thereby indicating a different process condition of the film in the cassette.

  • Patent number: 4140375
Abstract: A mounting arrangement is provided for supporting an idler roller which is adapted to backup a constant speed drive capstan in a multipurpose photographic film cassette having a sound capability. The roller support includes a C-shaped bracket having an intermediate leg and upper and lower legs which extend respectively above and below the roller and which are provided with openings to receive and support a mounting pin which extends through a central opening in the roller. The lower leg is attached to a sidewall of the housing and the upper leg is provided with an extension which is adapted to engage a structural portion of the cassette in a manner to resist the force imparted to the upper end of the idler roller mounting pin by the drive capstan.
