  • Publication number: 20220168829
Abstract: An offset blade attachment apparatus comprises a reciprocating element having a blade offset from a center of a reciprocating saw configured to allow the blade to cut an object without interference from the body of the reciprocating saw. The apparatus comprises the reciprocating element configured to reciprocate adjacent a block element having a handle thereon, the block element rigidly connected to the reciprocating saw via an arm, and the reciprocating element having at least one extended rod engaged to a reciprocating shaft extending from the reciprocating saw and connected through an aperture within the block element. Methods of using the same are further provided.

  • Publication number: 20150191367
Abstract: The apparatus comprises a treatment reservoir defining first and second treatment zones separated by a porous membrane. Carbon-based adsorbent material capable of electrochemical regeneration is provided in said first and second treatment zones. An agitator is operable to distribute the adsorbent in aqueous organic waste liquid contained in the first and second treatment zones. First and second electric current feeders are operably connected to the adsorbent in the first and second treatment zones respectively. A controller operates the electric current feeders to pass an electric current through the adsorbent in the treatment zones in one direction to regenerate the adsorbent in one of the treatment zones and to then reverse the direction of the current applied to the adsorbent to regenerate the adsorbent in the other treatment zone. Further apparatus is described which facilitates aqueous waste water treatment in a continuous manner.

  • Patent number: 8823757
Abstract: A thermal transfer ribbon comprises a substrate, and a clear thermal transfer coating disposed on one side of the substrate, wherein the clear thermal transfer coating is substantially devoid of pigment material. Also, a method of manufacturing a thermal transfer ribbon for finishing a printed label comprises applying to one major side surface of a substrate a clear thermal transfer coating which is substantially devoid of pigment material. Further, an apparatus comprises a label printer, a thermal transfer printer, and an in-line feeding mechanism which interconnects the label printer and the thermal transfer printer to feed a printed label from the label printer to the thermal transfer printer so that the thermal transfer printer can thermally transfer a clear thermal transfer coating to the printed label to provide a finished label.

  • Publication number: 20110191921
Abstract: A new and distinct redbud tree named ‘Pink Heartbreaker’ is characterized by its strong weeping growth. This cultivar also exhibits vigorous growth throughout the growing season and striking clusters of pink flowers during the spring bloom. Like the parent plant, Cercis canadensis, ‘Pink Heartbreaker’ is disease and pest resistant.

  • Publication number: 20070005094
Abstract: Described here are paranasal sinus devices for treating paranasal sinus conditions. The devices include a cavity member, ostial member, and nasal portion. One or more of the cavity member, ostial member, and nasal portion may deliver an active agent for sustained release to treat the paranasal sinus condition. Exemplary paranasal sinus conditions are sinus inflammation due to functional endoscopic sinus surgery (FESS) and rhinosinusitis.

  • Publication number: 20050043706
Abstract: The invention provides biodegradable implants for treating sinusitis. The biodegradable implants have a size, shape, density, viscosity, and/or mucoadhesiveness that prevents them from being substantially cleared by the mucociliary lining of the sinuses during the intended treatment period. The biodegradable implants include a sustained release therapeutic, e.g., an antibiotic, a steroidal anti-inflammatory agent, or both. The biodegradable implants may take various forms, such as rods, pellets, beads, strips, or microparticles, and may be delivered into a sinus in various pharmaceutically acceptable carriers.
