  • Patent number: 7338110
Abstract: A shelving system for a cargo vehicle is provided. Free-standing substantially vertical upright support members not attached to the walls of the cargo area of a vehicle are secured at their bottom ends to the floor of the cargo area of a vehicle and are horizontally spaced apart. The top ends of the upright support members may be secured to ribs in the roof of the vehicle or to separate transverse support members parallel to the roof. Shelves are vertically adjustably attached to the upright members. The upright and/or transverse support members may be provided with telescoping portions so as to be adjustable in height/length.

  • Patent number: 5785328
Abstract: A stacking member for stacking one hamper cart on another hamper cart is provided that is easily installed, removed, and stored nested with other like stacking members. The stacking member is strong, yet relatively light weight, and functions, among other things, (1) to distribute the weight of the stacked cart evenly and to a major portion of the length of each sides and ends of the upper frame of the supporting cart, (2) index itself for quick installation in the proper position on the upper frame of the supporting cart, (3) orient and index the supported cart on the stacking member, (4) secure the stacked cart on the stacking member to prevent sliding or movement during transport by pinching or gripping the shifting, fixed axis center caster wheels, and (5) allow imprecise transverse placement of the stacked cart on the stacking member.

  • Patent number: 5779508
Abstract: A water jet ski or boat that prevents weeds or grass from entering or clogging the intake grate area, is simple in construction and installation, operates automatically without operator intervention, and allows the craft to be beached and refloated without damaging the anticlogging elements or the craft. The craft includes one or more, preferably two or four, flexible rods mounted at the forward end of the intake grating and depending downward and preferably rearward. Growing or floating weeds or grass encountered during forward movement of the craft will be forced by the rods downward, rearward, and, in one alternate embodiment, outward. The rods do not interfere with the laminar water flow from any direction into the intake and are flexible enabling the craft to be stored, trailered, beached and pulled back from the beach as desired and without damage.

  • Patent number: 5674045
Abstract: A lifting and moving portable apparatus and method that includes a beam extending across the manhole cover supported at one end by a pivot member resting on the surface outside the manhole periphery and supported at the other end by a pair of wheels riding on the surface outside the manhole periphery. A lifting device is mounted on the center region of the beam for securing the cover and lifting the cover above the cover rim or surrounding surface. Once lifted, the operator can roll the beam and cover assembly through an arc about the pivot axis to expose the entire manhole. Means are provided to stabilize the cover in the horizontal and angular position relative to the beam so that the cover assumes the same angular position relative to the manhole when returned to the closed position.

  • Patent number: 5611554
Abstract: A cart, hamper track, with removable liner includes a base assembly comprising a metal tubular continuous bottom frame formed of box girder construction and a top continuous metal tubular frame formed of sections certain ends of which are swaged to mate with other section ends. After mating assembly, these parts are welded together to form a non-detachable, unitary structure. Metal rods are welded to and depend from the top frame and have L-shaped bottom ends that cooperate and are supported by the bottom frame. The top and inner sidewall surfaces of the bottom box frame define openings that receive and support the horizontal end of the upstanding rods. The bottom frame also comprises two U-shaped butt welded sections. Openings are also defined in the frame member parts to enable excess paint to exit these parts during manufacture.
