  • Publication number: 20210046675
Abstract: Disclosed are methods related to making a stamped article and articles and assemblies made therefrom. The methods include providing a partial replica of the stamped article having opposed first and second major surfaces, and then coupling the partial replica to a walled enclosure to provide a mold assembly having upper and lower chambers separated from each other by the partial replica. Compositions can be hardened in the upper and lower chambers to provide upper and lower tools having a shape complemental to the first and second major surfaces. After removing the upper and lower tools from the mold assembly, a deformable sheet can be pressed between the upper and lower tools to form the stamped article.

  • Patent number: 5906336
Abstract: An apparatus and method for aerial refueling of an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) wherein a laser receiver/transmitter on a target device towed by a host aircraft projects a reticle pattern aft of the host aircraft and a laser receiver/transmitter on a probe of the UAV is activated as the UAV is moved within the projected reticle pattern. Thereafter, a rangefinder guides the UAV towards the host aircraft until the laser transmitter/receiver of the UAV is aligned and boresighted with the laser transmitter/receiver of the host aircraft at which time the mode of the laser transmitter/receiver of the UAV alternates between a rangefinder mode and a modulation data link mode to transmit vital information concerning the UAV to the host aircraft. The probe on the UAV continues to move toward the drogue until the probe establishes contact within a receptacle structure of the drogue and is coupled thereto.

  • Patent number: 5308296
Abstract: An interactive video and exercise apparatus, to be used to perform physical conditioning exercises interactively with an action scenario displayed on a video monitor, the apparatus including a support frame having a number of exercise devices adjustably attached thereto so as to allow a complete range of exercise movements simulating various physical activities corresponding with the action scenario on the video monitor. A compact disc-interactive player, video monitor, and audio output are positioned on the support frame and are interconnected to one another and each of the exercise devices such that the resistance of movement of the exercise devices is varied in accordance with a corresponding scenario segment of a scenario program being played on the CD-I player, as data is continuously exchanged between the exercise devices and the compact disc-interactive player, enabling the scenario program to interactively proceed in accordance with the user's actions.
