  • Publication number: 20020116801
Abstract: A method for changing the position of fibers in a nonwoven web to improve the isotropy of the web by using angled stream of fluid wherein the streams form a substantially coplanar curtain and impinge on the fibers at their leading ends, trailing ends or sides.

  • Publication number: 20020031585
Abstract: A method for treating used cooking liquid from a cooking process includes the steps of removing a portion of the used liquid cooking medium from a cooking vessel and channeling it to a treatment vessel. The treatment vessel is sealable against a pressure that is substantially greater than atmospheric pressure. The cooking medium in the treatment vessel is then subjected to a pressure substantially greater than ambient atmospheric pressure, and it is heated in the treatment vessel to a temperature greater than an atmospheric pressure boiling point for a sufficient time to restore the cooking medium to a condition suitable for cooking. Finally the treated cooking medium is returned to the cooking vessel from the treatment vessel. This method is environmentally useful for significantly reducing wastewater production and “makeup” water usage.

  • Patent number: 4079341
Abstract: An apparatus for stabilizing microwave oscillator circuits is disclosed. The apparatus comprises a dielectric resonator positioned in the vicinity of a microwave semiconductive device for completing a feedback path between two electrode circuits of the device. A dielectric spacer is positioned between the resonator and the electrodes for supporting the resonator and controlling the magnitude of coupling between the two electrode circuits. A folded mechanical structure is described wherein the oscillating device and the resonator are located at the fold for improving the frequency stability of the oscillator. The microwave semiconductive device may be a bipolar transistor or a field effect transistor.

  • Patent number: 4060735
Abstract: A control system including a programmable multiple channel digital controller which is operable to generate control signals which are transmitted over electrical power lines of a building complex for enabling receivers associated with functional devices for controlling the operation of functional devices, the transmitter being operable to transmit control signals during selected ones of a plurality of data channels which define a data frame, and in one embodiment, different ones of the receivers are programmed to respond to control signals transmitted in different data channels for controlling the associated functional device. In another embodiment, the transmitted control signals are coded to represent an address of one or more of the receivers and a control command, each receiver comparing its address with the transmitted address, and the addressed receiver effecting the control function represented by the control command.
