  • Patent number: 8038171
Abstract: Disclosed is a device to connect the tips of skis and thereby enable a skier to create, hold, and adjust the shape of a wedge with his skis. The device is comprised of two sleeves which slip over and are secured to the upturned tips of the skis. The sleeves are connected by a length of flexible, stretchable, or both, material. This connection is either fixed or made by a novel easily detachable hook. The device allows the skis to be easily connected or disconnected for lift rides, when walking across flat terrain, or to evaluate the progress of the skier during a lesson. As a result, disclosed is a novel device which enables a skier to make, hold, and adjust a wedge while being easily detached for normal skiing and easily used by a skier or instructor wearing gloves or mittens.

Abstract: Disclosed is a device to connect the tips of skis and thereby enable a skier to create, hold, and adjust the shape of a wedge with his skis. The KidKlip Ski Tip Connector is comprised of two sleeves which slip over and are secured to the upturned tips of the skis. The sleeves are connected by a length of flexible, stretchable, or both, material. This connection is either fixed or by a novel easily detachable hook. The KidKlip allows the skis to be easily connected or disconnected for lift rides, when walking across flat terrain, or to evaluate the progress of the skier during a lesson. As a result, the KidKlip provides a novel device which enables a skier to make, hold, and adjust a wedge while being easily detached for normal skiing and easily used by a skier or instructor wearing gloves or mittens.

  • Patent number: 4577285
Abstract: A gage block case includes a plurality of gage blocks mounted within the case, each gage block having opposed gage surfaces with a nominal dimension therebetween and a known deviation from the nominal dimension. Sensors associated with each gage block sense the removal of each gage block from the case. A signal generator provides a distinct signal corresponding to which gage block is removed from the case. A memory stores the known deviation of each gage block within the case. A control unit responsive to the signal generator addresses and retrieves from the memory the known deviation for each gage block which is removed from the case, combines the known deviation with the deviations of previously removed gage blocks and outputs the total deviation to a display device. In a second embodiment, the control unit selects and indicates which gage blocks are to be removed from the case to form a specified stack height input to the control unit.

  • Patent number: 4398349
Abstract: A variety of precision tools and accessories, and precision tool sets, for selective use either individually or in relatively interconnected relation for securing a workpiece in a particular orientation for work to be performed thereon. In the precision tool sets, each of the separate precision tools is provided with a plurality of mating apertures having a pattern which matches the patterns of other mating apertures of other ones of the precision tools, thus permitting selective and interchangeable interconnection of desired ones of the precision tools by suitable fasteners received through the mating apertures. One of the basic component precision tools of such a set comprises a sine plate which may preferably include a locking strap particularly configured to avoid interference with the upper planar working surface of the sine plate.
