  • Patent number: 8956103
Abstract: A hydroelectricity generating unit capturing marine wave energy and marine current energy is completed with a buoyant floating frame, a plurality of electric generating pontoons, and a floating frame mooring system. The buoyant floating frame is positioned underneath water and connected with a seabed by the floating frame mooring system and connected with the plurality of electric generating pontoons by a plurality of pontoon mooring systems. The buoyant floating frame includes marine current electric generating units which are rotatably connected within the buoyant floating frame and utilize the marine current energy to produce electricity. The plurality of electric generating pontoons also produces additional electricity by the flowing marine wave energy and marine current energy.

  • Patent number: 8823196
Abstract: An apparatus of wave generators and a mooring system is used to generate electricity includes a floating hull and an anti-drift mooring system. The floating hull that functions as the floating member is tensionably coupled with a subsurface environment by the anti-drift mooring system, where the anti-drift mooring system can include different embodiments depending on the subsurface environment. Articulated pulley systems of the floating hull allow the anti-drift mooring system to efficiently maximize the power output of wave generator units of the floating hull as the articulated pulley systems and the wave generator units are positioned within the floating hull.

  • Patent number: 8573890
Abstract: An offshore structure for deploying and retrieving underwater electrical power generators that converts energy derived from water currents into electrical energy. The offshore structural platform includes a pair of vertical guide rails to guide a propulsion device lowering said generator underwater onto a seabed propulsion device. The seabed propulsion device is engaged on an underwater seabed rail system and transports the generator onto one of many unique frames specifically designed to support underwater generators. Securing devices are utilized to ensure the generators remain anchored to each propulsion device and to the unique frame. Rail transferring elements are also utilized for a smooth and safe transition during the transport process.

  • Patent number: 7287935
Abstract: An offshore system for petroleum production has a buoyant platform. A tendon assembly secures to the platform and extends down to a counterweight located near the lower end. A piling is embedded in the sea floor. A socket at the counterweight telescopingly slides over the upper end of the piling to prevent lateral movement of the platform. A dampening chamber is located between the socket and the piling. Ports for the chamber are arranged to allow a faster downward movement of the piling than upward movement.

  • Patent number: 6899049
Abstract: A deep-water floating offshore platform includes a buoyant hull having a substantially flat top, and substantially flat bottom, and a plurality of substantially flat sides. The hull further includes a tendon access shaft and a plurality of riser guide sleeves. The tendon access shaft extends below the bottom of the hull and includes a counterweight connected to the lower portion of the tendon access shaft to provide stability to the hull. The hull can be constructed from a cargo tank section of an existing oil tanker or through the use of new construction based on using the flat-plate design used in constructing cargo tank sections of oil tankers.

  • Patent number: 3940716
Abstract: A double-balanced modulating and demodulating circuit is disclosed for producing from carrier and modulating input signals at least one double sideband suppressed carrier signal. A pair of dual-channel amplitude modulators are provided each of which is operable to produce a pair of full-wave unsuppressed-carrier amplitude-modulated output signals without filtering. The modulating signal is applied to each amplitude modulator in phase opposition, respectively, so as to produce envelopes of the output signals that are in phase opposition. The various outputs of the amplitude modulators are combined in summing circuits so as to produce without filtering two double sideband signals in phase opposition, respectively, and two reconstituted unmodulated carrier signals which are in phase opposition, respectively. By the use of feedback means, the device will operate as its own local oscillator.
