  • Patent number: 7418807
Abstract: A long-span decking panel that includes a first panel section, a second panel section, a first channel and a second channel which form a cell. The first panel section includes a first open channel and a first side flange integrally extending from a first edge of the first open channel and a second side flange integrally extending from a second edge of the first panel section. The second panel section includes a second open channel, a first side flange integrally extending from a first edge of the second open channel and a second side flange integrally extending from a second edge of the second open channel. The first channel and the second channel include a panel and two depending legs. Also disclosed is a system incorporating the long-span decking panels and methods for manufacturing the panels and the systems.

  • Patent number: 5491946
Abstract: The present invention pertains to a long-span decking panel. The long-span decking panel is used, for instance, to span the space between girders to create a roof or a composite floor. The panel has a flange member having a first edge and a second edge. The edges are at least 11 inches apart. The flange member defines an essentially flat unbroken soffit except for a series of stiffening ribs running transverse to the edges. The stiffening ribs provide sufficient rigidity to the flange member to prevent it from buckling along its length. The long-span decking panel also has a first web member which is integrally jointed and extending obliquely form the first edge. There is also a second web member integrally joined and extending obliquely from the second edge. The web members can be of any desirable length depending on the decking situation.

  • Patent number: 5205098
Abstract: The present invention is a long-span decking panel. The decking panel is comprised of a first panel section having a first open channel. Extending from a first edge of the first open channel is a first side flange. Similarly, extending from a second edge of the first open channel is a second side flange. The first panel section has a first end for bearing against a first support surface and a second end for bearing against a second support surface. The support surfaces can be provided by structural I-beams or steel trusses, for example. The first panel section has a first length. The decking panel also comprises a second panel section having a second open channel. Extending from a first edge of the second open channel is a first side flange. Extending from the second edge of the second open channel is a second side flange.

  • Patent number: 4685264
Abstract: A metal "U" shape channel form is used to form a concrete beam, and has two laterally opposed outwardly extending horizontally disposed flanges with two supporting areas arranged in a stepped fashion for selectively supporting a metal deck or both a metal deck and plywood between the span of adjacently arranged channel forms used to form a slab therebetween, which slab may be composite in that the formed slab integrally includes a metal deck. A "U" shape shoring head of complementary shape to the channel form is mounted on a shoring frame to hold the channel form in place for the pouring of the concrete, and a shoring head can be used with a structural member arranged to support the metal deck of variable spans for slabs of variable dimensions in the available space.

  • Patent number: 4507900
Abstract: A metal raceway structure has a metal ribbed deck cooperating with an underlying member to define a plurality of cells each adapted to carry electrical utility wires. A housing member is positioned in cooperation with the deck in such fashion that openings in the deck members will permit access to the wires in the various cells. The housing has a chamber, at least one housing electrical receptacle has a pair of electrical sockets and has a mouth disposed at the upper end thereof. At least one remote electrical receptacle has a pair of electrical sockets and is disposed above the housing chamber, has an electrical wire in electrical contact therewith and has a plug engaged within a housing electrical receptacle. The remote electrical receptacle or receptacles may be secured to a face plate which is generally horizontally oriented so as to be generally flush with an overlying floor member or may be secured to vertically oriented face plates so as to provide a tombstone construction.
