Abstract: A computing device identifies an active user profile, from multiple user profiles, associated with the device and retrieves from an index of stored DVR content, titles for the stored DVR content that are associated with the user profile. The computing device ranks the titles associated with the user profile and generates a list of the titles based on the ranking. The computing device then provides, via a display device and based on the order of the list of the indicators, recommended titles of DVR content for a user to view.

Abstract: Exemplary metadata subscription methods and systems are disclosed herein. An exemplary method includes a metadata subscription system receiving data representative of a subscription by a user to one or more metadata values, identifying at least one media content instance that has the one or more metadata values, and providing the user with access to the identified at least one media content instance. Corresponding methods and systems are also disclosed.

Abstract: In an exemplary method, content instances and metadata associated with the content instances are maintained, a request for content is received, one of the content instances is identified based on the request, at least one other of the content instances is identified as being related to the one content instance based on a predefined relationship heuristic and the metadata associated with the content instances, and data representative of the one content instance and the other content instance is provided in response to the request. In certain embodiments, the related content instance is identified by identifying a metadata value associated with the one content instance and a common metadata value associated with the other content instance. In certain embodiments, the common metadata value includes at least one of a common location data value, a common time data value, a common user identifier, and a common content type.

Abstract: Location based content aggregation and distribution systems and methods are disclosed. An exemplary method includes a content hub subsystem receiving a content posting from an access device connected to a network. The content posting includes data representative of a content instance created by a user associated with the access device and a geographic location associated with the content instance. The exemplary method further includes the content hub subsystem storing the content posting and selectively distributing the content instance to at least one other access device connected to the network based on the geographic location, wherein a past or present physical location of the at least one other access device within a predefined proximity of the geographic location is requisite to the distribution of the content instance to the at least one other access device.
