  • Publication number: 20050163826
Abstract: A tampon adapted to deliver a therapeutic agent, the tampon including a tampon body that is manufactured at a first manufacturing facility; and a dosage form coupled to the body, wherein the dosage form includes a formulation including a therapeutic agent, and wherein the dosage form is manufactured at a second manufacturing facility. Also, a method for producing a medicated tampon including manufacturing a tampon body at a first manufacturing facility; manufacturing a dosage form at a second manufacturing facility, wherein the dosage form includes a formulation including a therapeutic agent; and coupling the dosage form to the tampon body.

  • Patent number: 4236956
Abstract: A floor laying tool utilized in installing synthetic floor materials such as vinyl sheet flooring adjacent walls. This floor laying tool is used to lay vinyl type flooring materials on a subfloor. The tool includes a handle, a downwardly projecting shaft connected to one end of the handle, and a working plate portion. The lower end of the downwardly projecting shaft is connected to the top of the tool's working plate portion. The tool's working plate portion is generally in the shape of a triangle with rounded corners. The first corner is connected to the downwardly projecting end of the shaft with the other two corners positioned equidistant from the first corner. The plate portion and rounded corners are utilized to bond the vinyl to the subfloor along the edges of a baseboard.

  • Patent number: 4117444
Abstract: A potentiometer and switch combination suitable for use as a hearing aid volume control. A control cap positioned over the potentiometer body is provided with an integral cam which performs the function of switch actuation. Positive seal is provided by an O-ring formed from a flexible, resilient material. The body of the potentiometer holds the control cap in place by means of heat stakes over a lip on the housing and a post having a chevron at its upper end which mates with a recess in the control cap. The cap is positioned by heat staking to press the stiffly flexible, resilient material of the O-ring into frictional sealing relation with an abutting member and thereby seal the interior of the potentiometer housing. The sealing arrangement also introduces a torque which opposes the rotation of the control cap, thus providing positional stability and positive operating feel.

  • Patent number: 4114133
Abstract: A worm gear drive and ratchet system in which a flexible, two-piece, toothed drive wheel is driven by a threaded drive shaft. The two-piece, toothed drive wheel comprises identical halves that are keyed and bonded into a fixed relationship. Upon reaching a stop, gear teeth embossed on the flexible drive wheel ratchet over the threads on the threaded drive shaft.

  • Patent number: 4081782
Abstract: A potentiometer and switch combination including a rotatable control cap positioned over a potentiometer body to form a housing. The cap is provided with an annular flange which abuts an annular shoulder on the body, either the flange or the shoulder being formed from stiffly flexible, resilient material. The body holds the cap in place by means of a post having a chevron at its upper end which mates with a recess in the cap. The cap is positioned to deform the stiffly flexible, resilient material into frictional sealing relation with its abutting member and thereby seal the interior of the housing. The sealing arrangement also introduces a torque which opposes rotation of the cap. The switch includes a conductive strip held by the body, one portion of the strip forming a first contact and another portion forming a spring detent.
