  • Publication number: 20120103586
Abstract: In a heat exchanger comprising a capillary tube register in which a fluid to be cooled and/or heated is routed through capillary tubes and in which air flows around the capillary tubes in countercurrent flow relative to the fluid, the capillary tube register comprises at least one capillary tube mat formed from longitudinal and lateral capillary tubes connected together in a mesh pattern for fluid throughput. At least the longitudinal capillary tubes are each connected by way of the ends thereof to a common trunk for feeding, and to a common trunk for discharging, the fluid.

  • Publication number: 20120037309
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for connecting the open end of a thin-walled plastic tube having an outside diameter of up to 3 mm (capillary tube) to a main tube made of plastic and having a considerably larger diameter, such that the capillary tube projects radially from the circumferential surface of the main tube, and the interior of the capillary tube is connected to the interior of the main tube by way of a radial passage configured in the wall of the main tube. One end of the capillary tube, which has an outside diameter that equals or is smaller than the diameter of the passage, is at least partially inserted into the passage from the outside, and at least part of the inserted end of the capillary tube and the immediately surrounding part of the wall of the passage in the main tube are subsequently heated in common. Said parts are thus softened such that they are fused to one another after cooling.

  • Publication number: 20110174467
Abstract: In a heat exchanger having a bank of capillary tubes, in which a fluid to be cooled and/or heated is conducted through capillary tubes and in which the capillary tubes are wetted, in concurrent flow with the fluid, by water or by a hygroscopic sorption solution, and in which air flows around said capillary tubes in countercurrent flow in relation to the fluid, the bank of capillary tubes is composed of at least one tube mat, the capillary tubes of which have a hydrophilic or water-dispersing surface with a contact angle of less than 20°.

  • Patent number: 6145818
Abstract: A heat exchanger includes a tube register through which a liquid to be cooled or heated is conveyed. The heat exchanger provides for contacting an outside surface of the tube register with a spray of water flowing in the same direction on the outside of the tube register as the fluid flows within the tube register, and a stream of air flowing in the opposite direction on the outside of the tube register as the fluid flows within the tube register. The tube register includes capillary tubes which extend generally parallel to each other and which are bent back about one or several lines extending transverse to the directions of air and water flow past the tube register to form layers of the tube register one upon another. The spaces between the capillary tubes are at least partly filled with foamed material.

  • Patent number: 4941528
Abstract: A ceiling consisting of metal panels (1) and a support structure (2) for them is described, which carries flexible tubes (4) through which flows a heating or cooling medium for obtaining a desired room temperature. The tubes are combined in the form of a mat and lie loosely and directly upon said metal panels.

  • Patent number: 4923733
Abstract: A flexible form sheet is described, which is used for producing plaster cavity floors. The sheet has regularly distributed, leg-like bulges. The bulges are interconnected by horizontal sheet surfaces. Increased flexibility areas are located between the bulges, and are preferably deformed. They are appropriately constructed as zig-zag or concertina-like strips concentrically surrounding the bulges. This provides an increase in the vertical reciprocal mobility of the bulges, so that on applying the plaster, the form sheet can adapt to unevennesses of the underfloor.

  • Patent number: 4811543
Abstract: A process is described for the installation of a floor heating system through which a heating medium flows and which comprises a plurality of plastic pipes (7) forming mats. The plastic pipes are embedded in a predetermined height in a plaster layer (9). The mats are initially placed on a substrate, preferably a thermal insulating layer and connected to the heating system. A given pressure is then produced in the plaster pipes. A first plastic layer is then applied to the mats and has a consistency such that the plastic pipes float on the plaster layer after a certain time and partly project therefrom. After the first plaster layer has set to such an extent that the plastic pipes are fixed in position, a second plaster layer with a thickness of approximately 10 to 15 mm is applied to the first plaster layer. The plastic pipes are fixed in position by the first plaster layer, so that they cannot float in the second plaster layer.

  • Patent number: 4147135
Abstract: A device for the reduction of heat losses due to flue gasses in boilers of the type having a flue and which are operated with oil or gas and wherein the boiler has a heat exchanger in the flue serving to reduce the temperature of the flue gases. A heat pipe having a U-shaped configuration is disposed in the flue with the heat exchanger being positioned between the pipe ends, and the warm side of the heat pipe is between the boiler and the heat exchanger.

  • Patent number: 4060265
Abstract: A piping system consisting of individual pipe sections which are of rectangular cross-section and can be joined by flanges, characterized by the fact that the individual pipe sections are provided in their corner areas with a curvature radius which allows for a contiguous, outward directed edge and that the flanges used to join the individual sections consist of a frame which snugly fits to the outside wall of each individual pipe section and can be formed by suitably bending a common angle piece; and that said enclosing frame is sealed.
