    Abstract: A spool or drum for holding flexible linear elements, such as cable, hose or long lengths of extruded plastic, is made up of three flat pieces of corrugated cardboard without glue or staples, one piece being the cylindrical body of the spool which is made by rolling up a cardboard sheet formed with suitable projections spaced along its edges, the other two pieces being disk-shaped with suitable spaced perforations to receive the spaced projections so as to hold the three elements securely together in the form of a spool.
