  • Patent number: 4178522
Abstract: In infrared detection and imaging systems circuits are provided for removing the high background thermal component of signal.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 15, 1978
Date of Patent: December 11, 1979
    Assignee: General Electric Company
Inventors: Donald J. MacLennan, Edwin E. Morris
  • Patent number: 4172983
Abstract: A charge transfer filter utilizing charge transfer accumulator structures for exponential smoothing of analog signals is described. The charge transfer accumulator structures provide short equilibration times, long smoothing time constants, high data rates and low dark currents.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: February 21, 1978
Date of Patent: October 30, 1979
    Assignee: General Electric Company
    Inventor: Donald J. MacLennan
  • Patent number: 4125785
Abstract: An array of rows and columns of charge transfer stages are provided. Each of the stages have identical sets of four electrodes. In response to a first set of clocking voltages applied to the sets of four electrodes charge packets are transferred from stage to stage in the column direction. In response to a second set of clocking voltages applied to the sets of four electrodes charge packets are transferred from stage to stage in the row direction.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: February 16, 1978
Date of Patent: November 14, 1978
    Assignee: General Electric Company
    Inventor: Donald J. MacLennan
