Abstract: A pivoting flexible cover unit is provided for a spill containment pallet. The unit has a pair of pivot supports for attachment to side walls of the pallet and pivot means on each. A plurality of telescoping support bars extend from the pivot means across the spill containment pallet. At least one spacing strap is secured to each of the support bars to maintain a spacing for the support bars, with one end of the strap secured to a first support bar and the other end secured to a last support bar. A flexible cover, supported by the plurality of support bars, is attached to the first support bar and the last support bar. The flexible cover covers any drums placed on the grate when the support bars are in a covering-arrangement, and access to any drums on the grate is provided from the rear or front of the pallet, when in an open-arrangement.

Abstract: A molded plastic storage cabinet having a plurality; of panels that can be snap-fit together. The cabinet has a door panel serving as a door, the door panel being symmetric about a horizontal centerline; a back panel; a pair of side panels, each side panel being symmetric about a horizontal centerline; and a top panel and a bottom panel, each arranged to connect to the back and side panels, and each having a hinge/latch pin at ends of a front edge. The door panel has a hinge cavity at one end and a door latch at the other end of a top and a bottom edge, to permit latching or hinging of the door panel on the hinge/latch pins.

Abstract: A molded plastic storage cabinet having a plurality; of panels that can be snap-fit together, The cabinet has a door panel serving as a door, the door panel being symmetric about a horizontal centerline; a back panel; a pair of side panels, each side panel being symmetric about a horizontal centerline; and a top panel and a bottom panel, each arranged to connect to the back and side panels, and each having a hinge/latch pin at ends of a front edge. Abstract: A ramp system for a delivery vehicle for bridging a cargo bed of the vehicle and a ground surface. A series of ramps of the system are easily moved between a use orientation and a stowed orientation with the assistance of torsion springs of the system. The ramps are moveable for placement at various locations across the width of the vehicle and the selected location for use is locked so as to prevent widthwise movement of the ramps during use. No cargo area is used for stowing the ramps when not in use.

Abstract: A ramp for use in bridging from a floor of an ISO standardized intermodal freight container to a placement pad on which the container is placed. An upper lip of the ramp is configured to engage with lower locking lugs of the container, which, although they are not covered by the standard, are found on most containers to be of similar design and located at substantially the same location on each container. The engaged upper lip of the ramp prevents movement of the ramp away from the container and in sideward directions to provide a safe surface for use by workers and equipment when loading or unloading the container.

Abstract: A non-corrosive dolly for storing containment drums having contained therein material which is potentially hazardous to the environment if spilled or leaked. Components of the dolly form a containment cavity for capturing and containing any spilled or leaked material. A handle, for conveniently moving the dolly and stored drum, is slidably engageable with a base of the dolly when oriented vertically downward, locked to the dolly when in position for use, and restrained for self-storing when oriented vertically upward.

Abstract: A containment tray for a hazardous material spill pallet for storage of hazardous material containing drums. The tray provides a raised support surface for the drums and a chamber for containing spilled or leaking material from the stored drums. Access for pallet lifting member is provided from all four directions of the pallet. The containment trays are nestable for stacking and peripheral edges are reinforced for more solid support when in use and when stacked. Multiple channels along the peripheral edge are provided for attachment of auxiliary devices such as a ramp for ease of placing and removing drums.

Abstract: Molded plastic energy absorbing cushions for protecting columns in facilities such as warehouses or manufacturing plants having forklifts or other such mobile equipment moving about. A pair of cushions, positioned back-to-back surround a column at its base to protect it from colliding equipment. The cushions are hollow with corrugations on their faces to absorb impact of a collision. A cavity is configured in a back of each cushion to add impact absorbing properties.

Abstract: A blow molded combination lid and spill tray has a top wall and a downwardly depending skirt thereabout, the top wall formed from a pair of upper and lower circular walls. The upper and lower circular walls have a central feed circular recess, plurality of circumferentially spaced fused arcuate channels and plurality of second spaced fused arcuate channels with first and second circular hollow sections and first and second radial hollow sections, the hollow sections communicating with a hollow of the downwardly depending skirt. The lid when placed on a supporting surface with the skirt extending upwardly will contain a drum and accumulate spillage or drippage from the drum in the recesses.

Abstract: A spreadable circular ring clamp has first, second and third clamp sections, which have inwardly directed upper and lower walls, which are secured together by connector strips that are secured to the outer surface of outer wall of the clamp sections. A locking device is provided to lock together locking ends of the first and second clamp sections. In unlocked position, the locking ends of the first and second clamp sections may be spread apart to open the clamp ring, while in locked position the clamp ring will provide sealing of a lid to a container body.

Abstract: A salvage drum has a container body and circular lid which are sealed together by a clamp that secures an outwardly extending lip on the container body to an outwardly extending lip on the circular lid. The container body has a plurality of spaced outwardly extending vertical ribs adjacent the body lip and the circular lid has an outwardly extending protective shoulder which is arranged such that the clamp is protected from impact with the ground regardless of tipping over or dropping of the salvage drum. The clamp is also easily stored on and held on the container body ready for use in sealing of the salvage drum.

Abstract: A hazardous material spill skid for use with one or two barrels has a tray with upwardly and outwardly extending side walls and end walls and a bottom wall with an upwardly extending hollow support post. The side and end walls have horizontal flanges with an upper surface coplanar with the upper surface of the support post, and an upwardly extending rim. Preferably, a side wall locking lip is provided on one of the side walls and an end wall locking lip on each end wall to secure a grate to the tray. The grate is preferably a blow molded unit having hollow parallel bars and cross-bars contained within a hollow frame.

Abstract: A hazardous material spill skid has a tray and a pair of interchangeable grate members for support of industrial drums. The tray has a bottom and upwardly and outwardly extending walls that terminate as horizontal flanges with an outer rim and inward lips. A hollow center post is provided with four arms, one of which extends towards each corner of the tray. A pair of blow molded, hollow, interchangeable grate members rest on the horizontal flanges of the side and end walls of the tray and directly on two of the arms of the center post to provided support for the grate member and drums placed thereon.

Abstract: An over-pack container for an industrial drum has a body portion with an outwardly extending flange thereon that has a flat outer surface of a polygonal shape and an inwardly extending upper lip that terminates as a downwardly depending leg with threads on the inner surface thereof. A hollow lid has a circular member with threads on the outer wall which engage with the threads of the leg of the body portions, and an outwardly extending portion having a lower sealing surface that engages the lip of the body portion, with upwardly spaced projections about the periphery of the lid.

Abstract: A plastic waste can for collection of flammable waste has a self-closing cover disposed on a body portion or receptacle. A foot pedal situated in a channel formed in the bottom wall of the body portion and pivotally secured therein is depressed by a user to raise a lift bar which engages the cover to raise the cover. A cover lift accelerator is provided on the undersurface of the cover, with a hinge pin hingedly connecting the cover to the body portion through first and second hinge pin supports. The cover is arranged to open to no more than 70.degree. to the horizontal so as to assure that the cover will close, by gravity, upon release of the foot pedal by a user.

Abstract: A thermoplastic container for the storage of flammable liquids includes a container body, a sealable opening in the container body through which the container can be filled with a flammable liquid, and a flexible corrugated nozzle portion, integrally formed with the container body, for dispensing a flammable liquid therefrom. The container body is defined by a bottom, a sidewall and a top. The nozzle portion is hollow and elongated, has a generally circular cross-section, and is defined by an inlet, and elongated section and an outlet. The elongated section is defined by a sidewall, a first end, a second end opposite the first end, and a passageway therethrough from the first end to the second end, and has at least one flexible, corrugated portion that includes a plurality of corrugations.

Abstract: A safety container having two openings, one having a pouring spout attached thereto, the second having a filler tube attached thereto with a spring-biased safety cap thereon, a rigid carrying handle mounted between the pouring spout and the filler tube, and means extending below the carrying handle for opening the pouring spout and simultaneously lifting the spring-biased safety cap.
