Abstract: A module is provided to support online cache diagnostics in a Linux operating system. The module is dynamically loaded to a kernel of the operating system. Upon activation, the module allocates memory for a user level program and a manager maps a contiguous buffer of memory from a kernel address space to a user process address space. The buffer is contiguous in both the physical and virtual address space. Physical memory displacement between access is controlled from the user level. Accordingly, the module enables allocation of contiguous lines of memory from the kernel to the user space in which control of the memory displacement occurs at the user level.

Those one or more software components tracked for the device are then automatically provided to the device to restore the software configuration of the device, in response to an indication that restoration is desired.

Abstract: A tube block containing a ribbed surface for prtecting a boiler tube assembly from corrosion is disclosed. The improved design protects the tube assembly while at the same time permitting excellent heat transfer.

Abstract: A superheater tube shield of refractory material comprises a pair of elongated half shields of identical interchangeable interlocking size and shape, each half shield having a semi-circular sidewall portion extending between and to diametrically opposite tongue and groove side wall portions which are assembled together about the tubes by axially inserting elongaged tongues into the elongated grooves. Refractory cement may be applied to attach the half sheilds to the tubes.

Abstract: A regulating valve for controlling the flow of fluid from a source to a fluid operated clutch and brake as well as auxiliary devices is disclosed herein. The regulating valve incorporates a hydraulic detent which locks the valve spool in a clutch engaged position in response to the pressurized fluid delivered to the clutch so that the clutch is automatically released when a loss of hydraulic pressure occurs.

Abstract: A device for imparting buoyancy to a fish hook and attached bait comprising a two part capsule having a passageway therein for firmly holding the shank of a fish hook and for passage of the connecting fish line through the capsule. The device is constructed such that the fish line passes through the center of the capsule so that the buoyant forces are centered on the line which connects the fish hook to a sinker weight.
