  • Publication number: 20250053383
Abstract: Disclosed herein are system, method and/or computer program product embodiments, and/or combinations and sub-combinations thereof for providing a platform for developing an application that interacts with a set of IoT devices. An embodiment provides a source code editor that enables a user to generate source code of the application and an application builder that generates an executable version of the application based at least on the generated source code. Generating the source code includes defining an input or output of the application as an event that is mappable to a first set of IoT devices in a first network of IoT devices when the application is installed thereto and to a second set of IoT devices in a second network of IoT devices when the application is installed thereto, the first set of IoT devices including at least one device type not included in the second set of IoT devices.

  • Patent number: 10151302
Abstract: Exemplary compact wind power generation systems are configured to be suitable for residential and other locations where concealed moving parts are desirable. The wind power generation systems utilize a propeller disposed behind a contracting inlet. The propeller blades may be oriented “into the wind” to develop consistent torque across a variety of wind speeds. The propeller may rim-drive power generation components, further reducing vibration, or may share a common rotational axis with the power generation components.

  • Patent number: 5035838
Abstract: A nonionic surfactant based liquid laundry detergent formulation which consists essentially of between about 20 and about 30 percent by weight of one or more nonionic surfactants, between about 1 and 10 percent by weight of one or more of certain carboxysulfonate compounds which may be prepared, for example, by the direct reaction of a hydrocarbyl succinic anhydride with either an aminoalkyl sulfonate or a salt of isethionic acid, between about 2 and about 20 percent by weight of detergent builder, between about 2 and about 8 percent by weight of triethanol amine, and water. The formulation is very effective for removal of both particulate and oily soils from fabrics and for preventing their redeposition onto the fabrics during the wash. The formulations are further characterized as low-foaming and relatively insensitive to water hardness. The several components are highly compatible and can be formulated into stable, single-phase compositions, without the need for added hydrotropes and/or solubilizers.

  • Patent number: 5034158
Abstract: A nonionic surfactant based powdered laundry detergent formulation which consists essentially of between about 15 and about 25 percent by weight of one or more nonionic surfactants, between about 1 and 10 percent by weight of one or more of certan carboxysulfonate compounds which may be prepared, for example, by the direct reaction of a hydrocarbyl succinic anhydride with either an aminoalkyl sulfonate or a salt of isethionic acid, between about 2 and about 10 percent by weight of a silicate salt anticorrosion agent, between about 2 and about 40 percent by weight of detergent builder, and a sulfate salt filler. The combination of nonionic surfactant and anionic carboxysulfonate surfactant in the formulation provides a highly effective detergent performance. However, the formulation retains the beneficial properties of mildness, low foam generation, and biodegradability characteristic of nonionic surfactants.

  • Patent number: 4618400
Abstract: A method for the deinking of wastepaper which comprises converting the wastepaper to a pulp, contacting the pulp with an aqueous medium of alkaline pH containing between about 0.2 and 2 percent by weight, calculated on dry weight of the pulp, of a deinking agent which is one or a mixture of certain thiol ethoxylate compounds, and treating the resulting pulp-containing medium to remove suspended or dispersed ink. The use of a thiol ethoxylate deinking agent offers a high level of performance in such a deinking process, both from the standpoint of the overall brightness and dirt count of paper prepared from the deinked pulp. In certain specific embodiments, the invention further comprises a step for treating thiol ethoxylate containing process streams and effluents to convert the surface active deinking agent to low-foaming sulfonyl derivatives, or to degrade the deinking agent to non-surface-active matter.

  • Patent number: 4561933
Abstract: A process for the deinking of xerographically printed wastepaper to produce reclaimed stock having high brightness and low dirt count. The process centers upon contact between a wastepaper pulp and an aqueous medium of alkaline pH containing a deinking agent consisting of a mixture of one or more C.sub.5 to C.sub.20 alkanols with nonionic surfactant to form a suspension of the ink in the aqueous medium. The deinking agent suitable for practice of the invention necessarily contains for every 10 parts by weight between 3 and 5 parts of alkanol and between 5 and 7 parts of nonionic surfactant, and is present in the aqueous medium in an amount between about 0.2 and 2.0 percent by weight, calculated on the dry weight of the pulp.

  • Patent number: H479
Abstract: An improvement upon processes for the bleaching of wood pulp which comprise preparing an aqueous alkaline bleaching medium containing hydrogen peroxide and contacting the pulp with said medium under agitation. The improvement particularly comprises agitating a suspension of the pulp in an aqueous medium containing the hydrogen peroxide and between about 15 and 65 percent by mol of one or more of a limited class of alkenylsuccinic anhydride compounds which are found to promote the bleaching of the wood pulp by the hydrogen peroxide. The improved process of the invention is further found to be necessarily restricted to operation under limited conditions of bleaching mixture temperature and pH.The invention is usefully applied in the preparation of a wide variety of paper and paperboard products. The invention has particular benefit in accomplishing a high degree of bleaching performance at relatively low bleaching system temperatures.
