Abstract: Methods, systems, and products are disclosed for emergency control of communications devices. An emergency communications is received from a wireless communications device. An emergency remote control communication is generated for the wireless communications device. The emergency remote control communication includes an instruction to activate a location system in the wireless communications device to obtain a location of the wireless communication device. The emergency remote control communication is sent to the wireless communications device, and the location of the wireless communications device is received.

Abstract: Methods and systems are provided to locate, route, and/or otherwise process a radio frequency emergency communications signal from a VoIP communication device equipped with a location positioning system and an emergency communications computer software product. The software identifies an emergency communications address, activates the location positioning system, and communicates location coordinates and other emergency information to a reconfigurable digital converter and digital channellizer processing office and/or to a voice/data communications switch. The emergency communications address includes a publicly registered emergency communications address and/or a user-defined communications address.

Abstract: Emergency remote control communications systems and methods provide remote access to, activation of, deactivation of, monitoring of, communications with, and/or otherwise management of a Voice-Over Internet Protocol (VoIP) communications device (and/or another peripheral communications device) in response to an emergency communication originating from the VoIP communications device. An emergency remote control communications software product detects an emergency communications signal, and, in response, generates an emergency remote control communications signal for communication to the VoIP communications device via a communications network.
