  • Patent number: 11187365
Abstract: A connector for fluidly connecting a collector pipe and a feeder pipe is disclosed, with a retaining member defining a curved base defining a pair of platforms at opposite ends thereof and facing towards each other upon the connector being mounted on the collector pipe. The base is resiliently deformable such that in a non-deformed state, a radius of curvature of the base is smaller than an outer radius of the collector pipe and a distance between the platforms is smaller than a diameter of the collector pipe. The platforms is displaceable away from each other to vary the distance between them to mount the connector and to exert a clamping force on the collector pipe. The connector has a connecting member engaging the feeder pipe. A piping network is also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20210180735
Abstract: A connecting assembly for operatively and fluidly connecting at least first and second hose segments together. The connecting assembly includes at least one insert portion, and corresponding bulge(s), securing device(s) and fluid passage(s). The securing device is removably mounted onto and displaceable about a portion of a given length span of the insert portion, and configured for operation between a first release mode, where the securing device being is drawn away from the bulge and thus an extremity of the hosing segment is releasable, and a second connecting mode, where the securing device is removably and selectively displaced over an outward overlapping of the extremity of the hosing segment extending over the bulge, so as to securely maintain said extremity of the hosing segment in place, operatively against the bulge and thus, prevent the first extremity of the first hosing segment from being removed from the bulge. Quick and easy.

  • Patent number: 10512225
Abstract: A tree sap line connector having a fluid transfer body with interconnected walls defining a hollow inner chamber. The inner chamber is in fluid communication with a plurality of sap conduits, each of which extends from one of the walls. Each sap conduit is engageable with a sap collection line to convey sap to and from the inner chamber. At least one of the walls has a groove therein, which extends a depth into the wall and is accessible from an exterior of the fluid transfer body. The groove removably receives therein a connector piece of a sealing member. The sealing member is removably mounted to the line connector when the connector piece is received in the groove.

  • Publication number: 20030047940
Abstract: A multi-setting connector for connecting at least one secondary branch line to a main line of a sap collection system or network comprises a clip member, a sap conveying member and a pair of straps. The clip member by way of the straps is adapted to be firmly mounted around the main line with the sap conveying member extending through the clip member and into the main conduit and having tubular fittings for connection to the branch lines such that the branch lines are fluidly connected to the main line by way of the hollow sap conveying member. The sap conveying member is typically firmly assembled to the clip member, whereas the straps are detachable from the clip member with the clip member and the straps being adapted to be selectively connected together such as to adjust an effective length of the straps, typically depending on the outside diameter of the main line.

  • Patent number: 5082561
Abstract: A high pressure filter support for liquids having low or high viscosity. The support is easily cleanable and quickly dismountable. The support comprises an annular passage defined between an outer larger tubular wall and an inner smaller tubular wall, top and bottom flat plates including quick release fastening means for sealingly joining the top plate to the outer and inner tubular walls to obtain the annular passage sealingly closed. Inlet means into said annular passage are provided. The inner wall inside the annular passage has on its surface a plurality of circumferential grooves. Each of the grooves has at least one orifice through the inner wall. The orifices are of a size commensurate with the viscosity of the material to be displaced through the orifices. An outlet means is sealingly mounted on the surface of the inner wall away from the annular passage to receive the orifices. A system for making maple syrup comprising an evaporator, a filter as defined above is also disclosed.
