  • Publication number: 20230007018
Abstract: Dynamic multi-network security controls are provided herein. A method can include receiving, via an internet protocol network, a report of malicious network traffic observed by first network equipment operating in a first communication network communicatively coupled to the internet protocol network, wherein the report indicates a second communication network, communicatively coupled to the internet protocol network and distinct from the first communication network, as an originating network of the malicious network traffic; in response to receiving the report, identifying second network equipment operating in the second communication network as a source of the malicious network traffic; and causing a control device associated with the second communication network to prevent the second network equipment from transmitting network traffic, comprising the malicious network traffic, outside of the second communication network via the internet protocol network for a defined time interval.

  • Patent number: 11171960
Abstract: Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, monitoring network messages at a network edge of a service provider network, wherein the network edge is coupled via a network edge device to a local area network comprising a plurality of network-addressable (IoT) devices, wherein the network edge device is in communication with a service provider network via a transmission medium in which electromagnetic waves comprising the network messages propagate along the transmission medium without requiring an electrical return path. A network-addressable device of the plurality of network-addressable devices is detected to obtain a detected network-addressable device according to the monitoring of the network messages. Information obtained from the detected network-addressable device is evaluated to obtain an evaluation result and a listing of the plurality of network-addressable devices is updated based on the evaluation results. Other embodiments are disclosed.

  • Patent number: 10785125
Abstract: Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, a method including obtaining a first set of votes from devices that are registered and enabled by a registration system to form a first network communicating with a processing system. The first set of votes relate to performance of a target device and indicate conformance to performance criteria for the first network. The processing system receives a reputation score for the target device from the registration system, and receives a second set of votes regarding target device performance from voting systems over a second network comprising a peer network including the processing system and the voting systems. The first and second sets of votes and the reputation score are aggregated to generate an updated reputation score for the target device. The registration system disables the target device when the reputation score falls below a threshold. Other embodiments are disclosed.

  • Patent number: 10250293
Abstract: Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, generating first traffic for transmitting along a network path toward a recipient device, determining a schedule for transmitting the first traffic, and facilitating transmission of the first traffic along the network path using a first waveguide system. The first waveguide system has a dielectric coupler, and operates by communicating electromagnetic waves via the dielectric coupler at a physical interface of a transmission medium that propagate without utilizing an electrical return path. The electromagnetic waves are guided by the transmission medium, wherein the electromagnetic waves at least partially surround an outer surface of the transmission medium, and wherein the electromagnetic waves have a non-optical frequency range. Other embodiments are disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20090048731
Abstract: A computer system running software operating as a vehicle service advisor is presented. The software on the computer system identifies one or more sets of scheduled maintenance operations for specific vehicles identified by make or build. The sets of the maintenance operations are unbundled into an individual operations that are recombined based on additional factors relating to the vehicles into a recommendation of maintenance operations. An estimate on the cost can be calculated and presented to a customer by correlating specific parts or labor costs with the operations in the recommendation.

  • Patent number: 4340044
Abstract: A medical ventilator is disclosed for switching and mixing oxygen with air in a driving and oxygen mixing means (2) and delivering the mixture to a gas flow control apparatus (3) for application directly to a patient breathing apparatus (5) or to storage in a bellows reservoir (81) of a continuous positive airway pressure facility (4). The ventilator is equipped with a control module (1) having directly set control adjustments (6-9, 105-112) for determining respiratory rate, inspiration-to-expiration ratio, oxygen concentration and the prescribed minute volume of the oxygen mixture to be delivered to a patient. The adjustment control circuitry which performs the calculations, logic and drive operations for switching and mixing oxygen in plural chambers (14, 18, 29, 30) of module (2), the switching of the mixture through module (3), and sensing fill and refill needs of reservoir (81). Module (4) includes apparatus (83, 84) for exerting a positive pressure on the oxygen in reservoir (81).

  • Patent number: 4256100
Abstract: An anesthesia ventilator is disclosed for controlling the flow of air and/or oxygen through a plurality of binary weighted valves from a fluid regulator source to a bellows assembly. Directly-set minute volume, breath rate and inspiration to expiration ratio controls operate electronic circuitry which adjusts the magnitude of the flow, the tidal volume and the inhalation to exhalation times. The circuitry includes alarm detecting devices for alerting personnel that a patient should be ventilated manually, that a patient is disconnected from the instrument, that control settings exceed specifications for the instrument, that undesired low gas pressure exists and that actual inspiration to expiration is less than that of the control setting. Flow and tidal volume limiting apparatus is provided, together with sigh circuitry and devices for correcting for altitude and gas parameters.
