  • Publication number: 20080022581
Abstract: This disclosure is directed to a fishing system capable of reducing loss due to entanglement with environmental obstacles. The most common form of device is a sinker. The construction of this system allows the user tension the line in different direction to extricate the fishing element from obstacles by easily reversing the direction of line tension.

  • Publication number: 20070094913
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a locking device for use in releasably securing sliding elements to a line or filament and for cushioning the shock of impact of the sliding element against a line stop. The sliding element has a stop element located in a passage which runs the length thereof. The stop element is then twisted to engage the filament and is prevented from untwising (counter-rotating) by locking means. Cushioning of impact with a line stop (knot, for example) is accomplished by the elastomeric bumpers which extend from the stop element out of the sliding element.

  • Publication number: 20060113347
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a user mountable ammunition carrier system for conveniently storing and carrying hunting and shooting accessories by a hunter while navigating dense brush and foliage. The ammunition carrier system includes a body member having a plurality of openings for receiving a plurality of container tubes. The elastomeric body member is also adapted to directly receive and frictionally retain a plurality of rifle cartridges in the openings. The ammunition carrier system is provided with a length adjustable lanyard secured to an elastomer carrier that supports a number of separate transparent storage tubes that plug-mount to the carrier. The carrier is also adapted to be attached to the belt of a user.

  • Patent number: 6125569
Abstract: A portable tool for mounting annular elastic bands to multiple strands of a skirted fishing lure accessory. A band support provides a barrel having an outer surface that flares outward as it extends from an apex. A retractor rod having a "J" shaped end is concentrically supported from the apex in a longitudinal bore of the barrel and extends aft of the barrel. Upon fitting a band onto the barrel, the rod can be extended and such that the hooked end can catch a border of one or more skirt blanks. With the withdrawal of the rod and blank into the barrel, the band can be manipulated onto the strands of the skirt blank. The borders can then be trimmed from the skirt.

  • Patent number: 6082038
Abstract: Multi-hued fishing lure dressings molded from a colored mixture that contains a contrasting, granular, partially dissolving color pigment. In one silicone rubber dressing, a multi-stranded skirt includes randomly suspended granules that exhibit blotches or speckles having indistinct edges. In another dressing, a silicone rubber trailer is disclosed that exhibits the general shape of a frog. One or more cavities support plug-in attachments, such as rattles or extension pieces that separately support other dressings. A pair of ribbed panels that imitate legs extend from the trailer and undulate with lure motion. The aesthetic effect is to create a multi-hued coloration at the dressing that imitates the coloration of many prey species.
