    Abstract: An apparatus and method are disclosed for forming an improved ejection (inner) tube for use in a telescoping tampon applicator. The apparatus and method takes a tubular blank and, in one step, provides an improved ejection tube by forming simultaneously a bead-like rim on one end of the tube, an inwardly turned bearing surface on the other end of the tube, and a plurality of outwardly projecting abutments on the surface of the tube near the bearing surface end thereof.
