  • Patent number: 11932979
Abstract: A laundry treating appliance for treating laundry items according to an automatic cycle of operation can include a cabinet defining an interior and having an access opening providing access to the interior. A tub can be located within the interior and can at least partially define a liquid chamber. A drum is rotatably mounted within the liquid chamber and at least partially defines a treating chamber. A clothes mover is located within the treating chamber and rotatable about a vertical axis. The clothes mover can include a base and a barrel.

  • Patent number: 6117904
Abstract: The present invention provides a method and composition for treating pruritus, and also psoriasis which includes applying a compound of formula (I) in a suitable formulation to the affected area. Compounds of formula (I) can also be formulated as a vaginal cream to inhibit viruses such as HIV, and possibly prevent the transmission of other sexually transmitted diseases.

  • Patent number: 5071028
Abstract: An improved drum draining apparatus is provided through forming a lowered sump in the bottom panel of the drum opposite the bunghole and forming a channel along the inside wall of the drum which connects the sump to the bunghole. When the drum is nearly empty, the remaining fluid inside the drum can be drained by tilting the drum from a vertical position over onto the side where the channel is located.

  • Patent number: 4708601
Abstract: A pneumatically operated reciprocating three-way valve having particular application to a double diaphragm pump. The valve is operative without a lubricating oil mist or the inefficiency resulting from air leakage between the valve piston and cylinder. Sticking and stalling of the valve piston are prevented by deformation of the cylinder under pressure to provide leakage of selected cavities within the valve. The pump also avoids the use of a deicer mist by an adjustable bleed of high pressure air to provide a two-step exhaust.

  • Patent number: 4646783
Abstract: A novel vertical ball-check valve for a sanitary diaphragm pump with a unitary housing and valve seat, an elastomeric ball, preferably hollow to respond to low pump pressure, and a removable ball stop to permit removal of the ball for inspection and cleaning of the valve housing. The ball, passageway, and ball stop are sized relative to each other to provide space for solids which have passed through the valve seat to be discharged from the outlet end without stalling the valve. A method for total visual inspection of the ball-check valve without removing the check from the system is also disclosed.
