Abstract: In an embodiment, a digital document production system may include a processor, a processor-readable storage medium in communication with the processor and an output device in communication with the processor. The processor-readable storage medium may include one or more programming instructions for identifying a file list comprising a plurality of file identifiers, selecting a first file and processing the first file using a first page box. The processor-readable storage medium may include one or more programming instructions for identifying and processing a second file based on the first page box, selecting a third file, processing the third file using a second page box and identifying and processing a fourth file based on the second page box. In addition, the processor-readable storage medium may include one or more programming instructions for printing the corresponding processed file for each file identifier in the file list.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a method of preparing production tickets that involves selecting order data from at least a first data field in an ordering system, feeding the selected order data to a workflow management system, and generating a production ticket for a print production job using at least a portion of the selected order data to name the print production job. One embodiment employs a join identifier to include several related files on the same production ticket. Corresponding configuration tools and workflow management systems also are disclosed.

Abstract: A method and system for performing a workflow on an electronic document are disclosed. A computer application may be used to access an electronic document. A representation for each of one or more workflows may be displayed for selection in the computer application. A selection for a workflow may be received, and the selected workflow may be performed on the electronic document. The selected workflow may include a plurality of operations.

Abstract: Disclosed are systems and methods for compiling a set of images into a single document image file having a version key and a color plane associated therewith. The version key is employed in association with the images and color planes to cause a raster image processor to select, or ignore, color planes and thereby enable printing of a plurality of multi-versioned documents from a common image file set.
