  • Patent number: 6481477
Abstract: A fence assembly for use with a router table, with the fence assembly including a first lower rail, a second lower rail and an upper rail. The first lower rail is configured and arranged to be positioned above the router table, where the first lower rail defines a lower longitudinal axis along the length thereof. The second lower rail is configured and arranged to be positioned above the router table along the lower longitudinal axis. The upper rail is configured and arranged to be attached to the router table above both the first lower rail and the second lower rail, whereby the upper rail defines an upper longitudinal axis that is substantially parallel to the lower longitudinal axis.

  • Patent number: 6113088
Abstract: In order to enable quick and easy clamping of a work piece or device to the top of a work bench, the work bench is formed with a plurality of keyhole-like slots which are adapted to receive a threaded shaft and stopper arrangement which extends down from each of a plurality of rocker arm-like clamp members. Each of these clamps is such that a stopper which is provided on the bottom of the threaded shafts, is wider than the width of the slot. Rocker arms, which are connected to the upper ends of the threaded shaft, are each provided with a vertically extending bore through which a threaded shaft extends, and an intersecting lateral bore in which a follower nut which cooperates with the threaded shaft, is received. The lateral bore is formed toward one end of the rocker arm that is adapted to have engagement fingers or members at each end.

  • Patent number: 5803677
Abstract: A hole saw comprises a cup with two cutting teeth positioned on the open end of the cup. The two cutting teeth are substantially diametrically opposed to one another to provide a balanced cutting engagement of the media and are spaced apart by a chord length of between about 45 to about 180 degrees. A pair of secondary gullets are positioned in the cup proximate to a forward cutting edge of the two cutting teeth. The secondary gullets have a predetermined depth and shape along a longitudinal axis of the cup to suitably remove debris from the cup during a portion of the duration of the hole cut. A plurality of raker teeth may be positioned on the chords defining the spacing between the cutting teeth. The raker teeth are disposed below the cutting teeth, approximately 0.030 inches to engage and move cutting debris formed by the cutting teeth.

  • Patent number: 5755319
Abstract: A power outlet strip having at least one receptacle; a member for receiving power from a power source; a switch coupled between the receptacle and the member for receiving power, which operates to control power transfer to the receptacle; a sliding member; and a safety key for controlling the position of the sliding member. When the safety key is engaged in the outlet strip, it positions the sliding member such that the switch is accessible and operable by an operator. When the safety key is removed from the outlet strip, is positions the sliding member such that the switch is inoperable by the operator. The outlet strip also includes a switch cover for covering the switch. The switch cover has at least one leaf spring and an actuating member. The actuating member is operative for toggling the switch to an OFF position when the switch cover is depressed. The leaf spring is operative for maintaining the actuating member above the switch when no pressure is applied to the switch cover.

  • Patent number: 5435672
Abstract: A hole saw having plug ejection feature. Using the arbor and arbor nut of the present invention, the arbor of an ordinary commercially available hole saw is replaced, the arbor nut of the present invention being threaded into the hole saw cup axial threaded inlet, to convert the ordinary hole saw into a plug ejecting hole saw. The arbor and arbor nut of the plug ejecting hole saw of the present invention function as the arbor of an ordinary hole saw when used with to drill the desired hole, the drill turning in a clockwise direction. When the drill rotation is reversed to a counter clockwise direction and the hole saw cup is held stationary, the arbor of the present invention screws through the also stationary arbor nut, thereby ejecting the plug from the hole saw cup.
