  • Publication number: 20110088089
Abstract: Portable electronic devices typically have reduced computing resources, including reduced available bandwidth to receive communications. A method, apparatus and system is provided to manage packet delivery to electronic devices to mitigate some of these problems.

  • Publication number: 20110045454
Abstract: A modular, portable writing and projection system having a variable curvature is disclosed. The system uses dry erase boards, chalk or black boards, or other flexible panels having at least one writing surface. The panels have edges for joining to posts. The system combines panels to form a large, modular system for use at meetings, gatherings or other assemblies. The system allows a large number of users to contribute to a presentation, and also allows users to view the presentation. Because the panels are flexible, the system may be curved, allowing more panels to be mounted, used, written on and viewed, within limited space. The panels may be used in either a convex or concave manner, i.e., curved in or curved out, as desired. The resistance of the panels to remaining in a curved state is overcome by feet on the posts and braking or holding devices on the feet.

  • Publication number: 20110042541
Abstract: A modular collaborative panel system intended for use on walls, frames and stands is disclosed. The system uses dry erase boards, chalk or black boards, or other panels having at least one writing surface. The panels have notches or cut-outs on each side so the panels can be mounted to a wall or a frame using pegs. The system combines panels in rows or columns, or both, to form a large, modular system for use at meetings, gatherings or other assemblies. The system allows a large number of users to contribute to a presentation, and also allows users to view the presentation.

  • Publication number: 20110016465
Abstract: Systems and methods for synchronizing a web application service on a server with a user computer so that users are not required to log-in to access their data are described. An installed product application programming interface (IPAPI) is provided on the web server that is configured to associate a user ID associated with the user of the user computer with a machine ID associated with the user computer. The credentials are automatically transmitted to the web application through cookies from a browser at the user computer to the web application so the user does not have to log-in to the web application service or at their computer.

  • Publication number: 20080269178
Abstract: The present invention provides a method for preparing a sterile suspension of a glucocorticosteroid. The glucocorticosteroids used in the invention are preferably antiinflammatory glucocorticosteroids. By making the last stage of product preparation be the sterilization process, the potential for contamination during manufacture and heat degradation of products is greatly reduced.

  • Publication number: 20080139519
Abstract: The present invention provides a method for the sterilization of a labile glucocorticosteroid, which method comprises heat-treating by moist heat the labile glucocorticosteroid in the form of a suspension for a sterilizing-effective time. The methods and compositions according to the invention are useful as therapeutic tools to prevent, reverse, and/or reduce the symptoms of allergic and/or inflammatory conditions in a mammalian patient. The invention also provides methods and compositions, which may be manipulated and fine-tuned to fit the condition(s) to be treated while producing fewer side effects.

  • Publication number: 20070023184
Abstract: A process for fracturing a selected region of a formation including: introducing a supply of fracturing fluid to the region of the formation until a first threshold is reached, adjusting the flow of the fracturing fluid to the region of the formation to reach a second threshold, adjusting the flow of the fracturing fluid to the region of the formation to reach a third threshold and ceasing flow of the fracturing fluid to region of the formation, the fracturing fluid being a non-participating gas and including a proppant in at least one of the stages of flow of the fracturing fluid.

  • Patent number: 5133107
Abstract: The invention is directed to improvements in foam type carpet cleaners and, more particularly, to the production of a relatively dry water-detergent mixture foam which is producted by applying drops of the mixture into an airstream duct in which is located a rotating propeller, or fan blade, driven by the airstream, the propeller contacting the drops and producing a fine droplet dispersion of the mixture, which dispersion is blown, by the same air stream, through a fine mesh screen to produce a foam which is applied, to a carpet to be cleaned, by a foam spreader. The foam is then brushed through the nap of a carpet by a rotating brush associated with the spreader. A debris collector is preferably associated with the brush to pick up carpet debris and spent foam.

  • Patent number: 4541212
Abstract: This invention is an adjustable frame member or jamb for a wall opening and a method for making it. It consists of two side-by-side jamb members, a spring and a stop. The stop is attached to one jamb member in an overhanging or step-like relationship. The spring is inserted into the back of this member so that an elongated portion defines a slot with the overhanging portion of the stop. Narrow kerfs are appropriately let into the back of the jamb and the door stop for anchoring the arm portions of the spring. The second jamb member is slid into the slot defined by the stop and spring, where it is firmly gripped by the spring. By forming one mounting point for the spring in the back of the stop, a short lever arm is maintained to better resist any prying or dislodging forces applied against the spring caused by the other jamb member. The artical can conveniently be made by first attaching one edge of the stop to a jamb of the narrowest width expected in use.
