  • Patent number: 9777963
Abstract: A method and a system for a heat exchanger assembly are provided. The heat exchanger assembly includes one or more arcuate heat exchanger segments each including an inlet header configured to extend circumferentially about a circumference of an inner surface of a fluid flow duct, and an outlet header configured to extend circumferentially about the fluid flow duct. The heat exchanger assembly also includes a first serpentine heat exchanger tube extending between the inlet header and the outlet header and including a series of flow path segments having a gradually changing direction defined by a bend radius of the tube such that a direction of flow through the serpentine heat exchanger tube reverses between the inlet and the outlet headers and a second serpentine heat exchanger tube extending between the inlet header and the outlet header, the second serpentine heat exchanger tube co-planar with the first serpentine heat exchanger tube.

  • Publication number: 20170264833
Abstract: A method for capturing and consolidating multi-spectral image data for regions of interest using one or more spectral boost mechanisms or techniques is disclosed. A first multi-spectral or hyperspectral workflow comprising time-stamped two-dimensional pixelated images of a region of interest is obtained by a first computer-enabled imaging device. Each of the images corresponds to image data captured for a respective frequency band of a plurality of frequency bands. First meta data is associated with the images of the first workflow and includes: a plurality of first positions and first orientations of the first imaging device indicating first positional and orientation data for the first imaging device, and indications of a respective frequency band for each of the images of the first workflow. A consolidated multi-spectral workflow for the region of interest is generated, which includes spectrally and spatially consolidating the images of the first workflow using the first meta data.

  • Publication number: 20170252939
Abstract: Machine vision apparatus tracks a distinctive object in relation to a hazardous location on a work surface of a modified band saw in two, three, or four (3-D+T) dimensions, and calculates whether to send an “immediate shut-down signal” to the band saw. Cameras and an image processor are mounted on the band saw. The signal causes an integrated blade-arresting or stopping mechanism to immediately shift the idler wheel, removing blade tension and disconnecting the blade which is then braked to a complete, safe stop before an approaching blue-gloved hand can touch the blade.
