The gripping device is an elongated flat strip of flexible, elastic material having at least 100 to 300% elasticity and having an enlargement at one end and a slot at the other whereby the strip can be wrapped around objects, easily stretched as it is wrapped so as to tighten it thereagainst, and secured by slipping the enlargement through the slot.
