  • Patent number: 4482066
Abstract: A storage rack assembly having at least one storage shelf movable from a storage position to a fully extended position to enable loading and unloading characterized by a rack having a pair of side frame units which are interconnected to form a rack having an open front and at least one movable shelf assembly disposed in the rack and being movable from the storage position to a fully extended position extending out of the open front of the rack. Each shelf assembly includes a rigid shelf having side elements supporting spaced rollers, a rigid carriage having an open end and side members provided with a channel for receiving the rollers of the shelf for movement therein and the side elements of the carriage provide vertically spaced track surfaces which are received between two pairs of rollers on each side of the rack to enable the carriage to move in the rack.

  • Patent number: 4147100
Abstract: A small portable housing forms a trash compacting chamber in the bottom. At one side of the housing interior, above the chamber, is a space through which trash can fall to the chamber from an upper trash compacting opening. At the other side of the interior of the housing and above the chamber is the compacting mechanism powered by a hydraulic ram. This mechanism includes a carriage supporting a two-part platen, one part of which is below the ram and fixed to the carriage and the other part of which is articulated for movement between a vertical position when raised, and a generally horizontal position across said space when being lowered. Several lost motion mechanisms are disclosed for initially so moving the articulated portion as the ram is extended and thereafter providing carriage movement. A gate is mounted to swing across the space when the platens are lowered so as to catch any trash introduced at that time.

  • Patent number: 4050752
Abstract: A fixed utility cabinet houses various utility conduits, e.g., electricity, gas, water, etc. The upper part of the front of this utility cabinet is a solid panel while the lower part has openings closed by access doors. Immediately to the front of the utility cabinet is a table top secured to vertically telescopic supports. The supports rest on feet extending under the table top. The table top can be moved up and down substantially within the range defined by the solid front of the utility cabinet. Various forms of storage cabinets can be hung below the table top and spaced above the floor, with these storage cabinets moving vertically in unison with the table top. A wheeled cart having a hydraulic lift is used to facilitate securing the cabinets below the table top and for raising and lowering the table top.
