    Abstract: A vibration isolator mount (10) is provided including a travel restrictor (30) for limiting axial stretching of the spring component (22) to the vibration isolator mount. A snubber (32) ring is provided to provide a bumper between the travel restrictor (30) and a stop surface (12) in order to soften the impact therebetween when a heavy input occurs. Furthermore, the travel restrictor (30) is provided with a protective coating in order to reflect heat away from the isolator mount.

    Abstract: A vibration isolation mount (10) is provided including a bracket member (12) including a base portion (18) having a pair of side wing portions (24, 26) extending from a pair of bends in the base portion (18). At least one pair of end wing portions (28, 30) extend from opposite ends of the bracket member (12). A core element (14) including a body portion (46) is disposed between the pair of side wing portions (24, 26). An elastomeric spring member (16) is disposed between the body portion of the core element (14) and the pair of side wing portions of the bracket member (12). The at least one pair of end wing portions (28, 30) are bent towards the elastomeric spring member (16) so as to oppose opposite ends of the spring member so as to provide a lateral travel restrictor for the elastomeric spring member (16) without the necessity of additional components.

    Abstract: A method of increasing the predictable effectiveness of a ballistic reentry ody having a predicted nominal reentry trajectory. Beginning at reentry or another predetermined location, the distance travelled by said reentry body is calculated based on measured longitudinal acceleration and preset predicted trajectory parameters. When the reentry body reaches a predetermined altitude as measured by an onboard radar, the calculated distance travelled to the altitude is compared with the predicted nominal distance travelled to the altitude to determine the actual trajectory of the reentry body. Based on this actual trajectory, the actual distance travelled from reentry to a preferred fuzing location is determined. When the calculated distance travelled equals the distance required to reach the preferred fuzing location, the fuze signal is sent to the fire set and then to the warhead.

    Abstract: A workbench of saw-horse height has its top formed by a pair of longitudinally extending top members which form a working surface and which are carried by transverse supports. One of the top members is fixed with respect to the supports but the other is horizontally movable towards and away from the fixed top member to form a vice between the opposed vertical faces of the top members. Adjacent each end the top members are interconnected by screw threaded rods which are restrained against axial movement at their ends adjacent the fixed top members but which are received in nuts connected to the movable top member. The connection of the nut to the movable top member allows independent operation of the screw threaded rods to permit the gap between the vertical faces to be greater at one end than at the other.
