Publication number: 20070182076Abstract: A vibration isolator mount (10) is provided including a travel restrictor (30) for limiting axial stretching of the spring component (22) to the vibration isolator mount. A snubber (32) ring is provided to provide a bumper between the travel restrictor (30) and a stop surface (12) in order to soften the impact therebetween when a heavy input occurs. Furthermore, the travel restrictor (30) is provided with a protective coating in order to reflect heat away from the isolator mount.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 6, 2004Publication date: August 9, 2007Applicant: Freudenberg-NOK General PartnerInventors: Todd Wirges, Donald Price

Publication number: 20070102617Abstract: A vibration isolation mount (10) is provided including a bracket member (12) including a base portion (18) having a pair of side wing portions (24, 26) extending from a pair of bends in the base portion (18). At least one pair of end wing portions (28, 30) extend from opposite ends of the bracket member (12). A core element (14) including a body portion (46) is disposed between the pair of side wing portions (24, 26). An elastomeric spring member (16) is disposed between the body portion of the core element (14) and the pair of side wing portions of the bracket member (12). The at least one pair of end wing portions (28, 30) are bent towards the elastomeric spring member (16) so as to oppose opposite ends of the spring member so as to provide a lateral travel restrictor for the elastomeric spring member (16) without the necessity of additional components.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 6, 2004Publication date: May 10, 2007Applicant: Freudenberg-NOK General PartnershipInventors: Todd Wirges, Donald Price, Phung Le

Publication number: 20070102855Abstract: A switchable hydraulic bushing (10) is provided in which a secondary chamber (60) is sealed so as to be air-tight and is provided with a bleed passage (38) for allowing for the free flow of air into and out of the secondary air chamber (60). A closure device (40) is provided for closing off the bleed passage (38) for sealing off the air-tight secondary chamber (60) to alter the flexibility characteristics of the walls (58) of the compensation chambers (52) and effectively turn off the hydraulic damping function of the hydraulic bushing (10).Type: ApplicationFiled: August 6, 2004Publication date: May 10, 2007Applicant: Freudenberg-NOK General PartnershipInventors: Todd Wirges, Donald Price

Publication number: 20050284153Abstract: According to one embodiment of the invention a method for cooling a structure includes flowing a saturated refrigerant through one or more passageways in the structure while maintaining the refrigerant at a substantially constant pressure. The method also includes evaporating at least a portion of the refrigerant at a substantially constant temperature throughout the passageways in the structure.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 24, 2004Publication date: December 29, 2005Inventors: Donald Price, William Wyatt, Gary Schwartz

Publication number: 20040142968Abstract: Lower bowel pain such as that associated with menses, premenstrual syndrome (PMS) or irritable bowel syndrome is alleviated in a mammal suffering therefrom by administering to the mammal a pain alleviating amount of nontoxic local anesthetic such as lidocaine, lidocaine hydrochloride, bupivicaine, and the like. These local anesthetics will be applied as an injected intra rectal jelly, intra rectal suppository, or orally in capsule form.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 17, 2003Publication date: July 22, 2004Inventors: Donald Price, G. Nicholas Verne, Arup Sen

Patent number: 4954202Abstract: An improved method and apparatus for making V-groove insulation is disclosed. More particularly, the device of the present invention relates to an endless track fabrication and cutting system whereby prefabricated, sectioned lengths of insulation material are formed into continuously grooved insulation sheets of readily variable dimensions. The system is automated.Type: GrantFiled: June 12, 1989Date of Patent: September 4, 1990Assignee: Industrial Insulations of Texas, Inc.Inventors: Donald Price, Frank Price, Charles M. Nelson

Patent number: 4623106Abstract: A modular improved forward section and improved aft section containing an tive-control package are disclosed which can be retrofitted to existing sphere-cone geometry reentry bodies (RBs) and which will provide improved aerodynamic performance and deployment accuracy of the RBs independent of missile error sources and drop sequence. An aft section containing control electronics, a propulsion system and steering jets permits the improve RB to actively correct for attitude and velocity dispersions occurring throughout the flight profile.Type: GrantFiled: October 25, 1984Date of Patent: November 18, 1986Assignee: The United States of America as represented by the Secretary of the NavyInventors: Donald A. Price, Jr., William E. Brandt, Jan Verheul

Patent number: 4456202Abstract: A method of increasing the predictable effectiveness of a ballistic reentry ody having a predicted nominal reentry trajectory. Beginning at reentry or another predetermined location, the distance travelled by said reentry body is calculated based on measured longitudinal acceleration and preset predicted trajectory parameters. When the reentry body reaches a predetermined altitude as measured by an onboard radar, the calculated distance travelled to the altitude is compared with the predicted nominal distance travelled to the altitude to determine the actual trajectory of the reentry body. Based on this actual trajectory, the actual distance travelled from reentry to a preferred fuzing location is determined. When the calculated distance travelled equals the distance required to reach the preferred fuzing location, the fuze signal is sent to the fire set and then to the warhead.Type: GrantFiled: September 16, 1982Date of Patent: June 26, 1984Assignee: The United States of America as represented by the Secretary of the NavyInventors: Donald A. Price, Jr., Charles A. Louis, III

Patent number: 4268974Abstract: A hood for the cylinder drying section of paper making machines and other cylinder drying machines comprising a framework composed of hollow square or rectangular tubes supporting the hood through which heated air is passed for delivery between the cylinders, inlet air being drawn in by a fan and passing over a heat transfer unit and a steam battery separated from the cylinder chamber by an inclined diaphragm wall and an exhaust fan for drawing the moist air from the cylinder chamber through a damper valve controlled duct to the heater chamber for recirculation or exhaust.Type: GrantFiled: February 29, 1980Date of Patent: May 26, 1981Assignee: Greenbank-Cast Basalt Engineering Co. LimitedInventor: Donald Price

Patent number: 4076229Abstract: A workbench of saw-horse height has its top formed by a pair of longitudinally extending top members which form a working surface and which are carried by transverse supports. One of the top members is fixed with respect to the supports but the other is horizontally movable towards and away from the fixed top member to form a vice between the opposed vertical faces of the top members. Adjacent each end the top members are interconnected by screw threaded rods which are restrained against axial movement at their ends adjacent the fixed top members but which are received in nuts connected to the movable top member. The connection of the nut to the movable top member allows independent operation of the screw threaded rods to permit the gap between the vertical faces to be greater at one end than at the other.Type: GrantFiled: December 22, 1975Date of Patent: February 28, 1978Assignee: Inventec International LimitedInventor: Donald Price Hickman
