According to one described aspect, a server maintains a database correlating unique identifiers for client devices to their network address information. A first client device may query the server for network address information of a second client device by sending the unique identifier to the server. The server returns the network address of the second client device, which is used to send a message directly from the first client device to the second client device, indicating the availability of content. Also, the message is preferably formatted such that it automatically populates a content guide of the second client device, with an entry used to initiate a transmission of the content from the first client device to the second client device.

Abstract: A method, apparatus, and electronic device for executing programming across multiple programming languages are disclosed. The method may include executing an object method invocation using an arbitrary scripting language; and accessing a Java® object through a Java® scripting language interface. The Java® scripting language interface may determine the type of each Java® object, and match it with the appropriate scripting language object, be the object a value, method or class. The Java® scripting language interface may also build a scripting language object using Java® values and methods.

Abstract: A polynomial based apparatus, such as an error correcting apparatus, is checked by repeatedly supplying test bits to the apparatus. On even cycles, the modulo two sum of the signal contents should be zero, while on odd cycles it should be equal to the pattern used for test purposes.
