  • Patent number: 9674412
Abstract: A circuit-carrying assembly for use in an imaging system, the assembly comprising a first circuit carrier; a second circuit carrier spaced apart from the first circuit carrier; at least one attachment member to attach the circuit-carrying assembly to a rigid support member; and a compliant part between the first circuit carrier and the second circuit carrier, the compliant part allowing the second circuit carrier to move towards and away from the first circuit carrier.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: August 1, 2014
Date of Patent: June 6, 2017
    Assignee: FLIR Commercial Systems, Inc.
Inventors: Jeffrey David Bull, Donald Ray Murray
  • Patent number: 9485420
Abstract: An image capture system and method wherein an image capture device has a plurality of virtual image capture devices and is configured to capture images according to a selected virtual image capture device. The selection of virtual image capture devices may vary with time, the number of images taken, or the occurrence of certain events. Images may be communicated over a data link to one or more processors, which may display the images to users. Users may add, edit or delete profiles, causing corresponding changes to virtual imaging devices. Virtual image capture devices may communicate with each other and may be configured to capture images based on analysis of images taken by other virtual capture devices.

Date of Patent: November 1, 2016
    Assignee: Point Grey Research Inc.

  • Publication number: 20150109613
Abstract: A test chart for characterizing lenses comprises X radial lines extending from a central point and Y concentric X-sided polygons centered at the central point. Each of the X radial lines intersects one vertex of each of the polygons. Each of the X radial lines is divided into Y segments by its intersection points with the central point and with the polygons. The radial lines and the polygons define boundaries of X*Y non-overlapping patches. At least two of the patches share a boundary and are distinctly colored from each other.

  • Patent number: 6608913
Abstract: A self-contained mapping and positioning system for underground mining is provided that is capable of mapping the topography of a region, such as a mine tunnel, and further being able to use the mapped data to determine the position of an object, such as a mining vehicle, within the mine tunnel. The system includes an inertial navigation system, a central processing unit, a three-dimensional database, a three-dimensional camera system, an operator console and a survey system having a three-dimensional laser scanner. The survey system using the three-dimensional laser scanner produces point cloud data, i.e., a set of data points representing the topography of the region. The point cloud data is stored within a storage device until the entire region is mapped and then transmitted to the operator console to be post processed. After post processing, the data is exported to the three-dimensional database and the indexed for ease of use by the central processing unit.
