  • Patent number: 11690554
Abstract: The EKG cord management system is a cable management system. The EKG cord management system is configured for use with the leads of an EKG machine. The EKG cord management system comprises a plurality of lead structures, a probe connector, and a housing. The EKG cord management system deploys the plurality of lead structures from the housing. The EKG cord management system retracts the plurality of lead structures into the housing. Each lead structure selected from the plurality of lead structures measures electrical activity in a human body. The probe connector electrically connects each of the plurality of lead structures to a machine known as an EKG machine.

  • Publication number: 20060174244
Abstract: A system and method for enabling control transfer in firmware through content addressable memory (CAM) and related circuitry. The system includes, but is not limited to, firmware having at least one target executable instruction, a CAM that can assert a match when the target executable instruction is attained, and circuitry capable of either indicating the target executable instruction to patch handler or forming an opcode by concatenating an opcode template with at least one bit of the control flow transfer address. Execution control is transferred form a firmware instruction preceding the target executable instruction either from a control transfer opcode to a patch handler and then to patch code, or through the opcode directly to patch code, if the CAM asserts a match and if an enable bit is set.

  • Publication number: 20060125947
Abstract: Systems and methods of imaging with clustered photosite arrays are described. In one aspect, an image sensor includes an array of clusters of photosites and an array of optical elements. The photosites are arranged in respective groups of multiple ones of the photosites sharing at least one readout circuit component. Each of the optical elements is aligned with a corresponding one of the clusters of photosites and is arranged to intercept light directed toward the photosites of the corresponding cluster.

  • Publication number: 20060104524
Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer programs for encoding images are described. In one aspect, quantized frequency domain vectors are sequentially generated from a sequence of blocks of the image. Each quantized frequency domain vector includes a set of quantized forward transform coefficients that are derived from a respective image block. For each successive quantized frequency domain vector, a current input capacity level of a buffer is determined and the quantized frequency domain vector is modified to increase compressibility when the current input capacity level is determined to be below a prescribed threshold. Modified and unmodified quantized frequency domain vectors are encoded into a sequence of encoded image blocks. The sequence of encoded image blocks is stored in the buffer.

  • Publication number: 20050022380
Abstract: A tool to facilitate removal of a pitman-arm mounted on a shaft includes a main frame member with a threaded center drive rod and radially spaced, depending retention arms pivotally suspended from the frame member. Rotation of the threaded drive rod causes a wedge section at the leading end of the drive rod to separate the legs of the pitman-arm as the retention arms hold the tool in place on the pitman-arm.

  • Patent number: 5872807
Abstract: A clock circuit includes an oscillator for generating a reference frequency signal, and a spread spectrum clock generator cooperating with the oscillator for generating a spread spectrum clock output signal having a fundamental frequency and reduced amplitude EMI spectral components at harmonics of the fundamental frequency. The spread spectrum clock generator preferably includes a clock pulse generator for generating a series of clock pulses, and a spread spectrum modulator for frequency modulating the clock pulse generator to broaden and flatten amplitudes of EMI spectral components which would otherwise be produced by the clock pulse generator. The spread spectrum modulator frequency modulates the clock pulses with specific profiles of frequency deviation versus the period of the profile. Electronic devices including the spread spectrum clock circuit and associated method are also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 5248069
Abstract: Apparatus for pressurizing a paste for dispensing the paste includes a vessel, a follower plate and a resilient seal which is movable through the vessel with the follower plate. The resiliency of the seal provides pressure for developing a seal between the seal and the vessel, and pressurized paste provides additional pressure for developing the seal.

  • Patent number: 4847545
Abstract: When boosting a battery, a direct current boosting voltage is applied between the positive and negative terminals of the battery via a pair of cables of predetermined length. In order to supply a boosting voltage of predetermined constant value, a direct current voltage source supplies the boosting voltage to the battery not only through the pair of the cables, but also through a high current adjustable load. Of course, the direct current voltage source supplies a voltage of value higher than the boosting voltage predetermined value. A voltage controller detects the voltage between the ends of the two cables adjacent to the voltage source, and the voltage drop in the pair of cables, and varies the high current adjustable load in response to the detected voltage and voltage drop so as to adjust the boosting voltage at the predetermined constant value.

  • Patent number: 4613822
Abstract: An adjustable electrical load bank which comprises an upper and lower horizontal, electrically conducting plates mounted parallel to each other on a frame and both electrically insulated from this frame. The lower plate is fixedly mounted on the frame while the upper plate is movably connected thereto through four spring devices. Three vertical piles of disk-shaped carbon elements are disposed between the two horizontal plates and each have an electrical resistance between their respective upper and lower ends which varies with pressure applied thereon. An upper and lower pistons separated by an helicoidal spring are disposed in a vertical cylinder mounted on the frame. The upper piston is associated with a manually operated cam while the lower piston is fixedly connected to the upper plate. Upon operation of the cam, the helicoidal spring produces a force acting against a force generated by the four spring devices for applying pressure on the piles.
