  • Publication number: 20120230806
Abstract: An apparatus, kit or methods for improved handling of hearing aid batteries. The apparatus has a handle with a handle portion grasped by a user and a first end portion over which a nose piece is connected to capture at least one magnet therebetween. The nose piece which is preferably of a plastic contacts the hearing aid battery and provides a modified magnetic flux and easily slidable surface for easier handling of the hearing aid battery. The nose piece can be provided with apertures to adjust the magnetic flux applied to the hearing aid battery. The kit includes the apparatus therein and can also include extra batteries.

  • Patent number: 7159730
Abstract: Folding crates includes a base and pivotable side walls which fold open from a stacked storage condition in which the walls are in juxtaposition and within the perimeter of the base. Latches are provided to connect the open walls and provide support between the walls. A pedestal and legs on the base are arranged so that the pedestal of one crate may be received and secured by the legs of a similar crate with side walls folded to the stacked storage condition. Crate connection assemblies are included for joining multiple crates into a crate array when the crates are open. The connection assemblies use receiver sockets that receive connection links therein. The links are preferably tubular to allow a tension fastener to extend therethrough and be secured by a septum wall against which the tubular links abut. The connection links provide compression transfer and resistance to shearing action between conjoined crates.

  • Patent number: 6722515
Abstract: A preferred folding crate includes a base having a perimeter. Pivotable side walls fold open from a stacked storage condition in which the walls are in juxtaposition and within the perimeter of the base. A pedestal and legs on the base are arranged so that the pedestal of one crate may be received and secured by the legs of a similar crate having its side walls folded to the stacked storage condition. A preferred crate includes latch members between inner and outer side wall surfaces on a first pair of the side walls. Catch members on a second pair of the side walls are positioned for releasable latch member engagement to secure the side walls in the open condition. Connector receivers, link members and fasteners may be provided to secure successive similar crates together.

  • Patent number: 6070991
Abstract: A decorative light fixture is described in which a pair of frames are provided, each with a central hub section and with arms spaced angularly about the hub and formed in a semi-spherical configuration about a central point. A band releasably joins the pair of frames with their central points substantially coincidental along an axis in such a manner that the arms of both frames form a substantially spherical configuration. Socket mounts are provided on the arms at varying positions spaced substantially radially from the central points. The arms of each frame are bendable from substantially flat orientations in which the arms extend radially from the associated central hub, with the socket mounts spaced radially therefrom to releasably receive and mount lenses or, alternatively, conventional Christmas light sockets.

  • Patent number: 5584567
Abstract: A decorative lighting mount is described, including a plastic body with a flexible integral mounting clip for attaching the mount to a support, and an integral flexible socket receiving clip for reception of a decorative light bulb socket. The mounting clip includes a pair of opposed yieldable clip arms forming a support receiving opening therebetween. The socket receiving clip defines a socket receiving opening and includes an axially split side wall in a frusto-conical configuration to releasably receive a portion of a decorative light bulb socket. The socket receiving clip includes a retainer projecting radially into the socket receiving opening to abut a decorative light bulb socket to prevent axial motion of the bulb socket within the socket receiving clip in one direction.
