  • Publication number: 20060038161
Abstract: Thermoformable, Long Lasting Phosphorescent Acrylic Resin for Castings, Adhesives, Moldings, Coatings and Liquid Inlays are manufactured from thermosetting acrylic syrup, promoters, additives, fillers and phosphorescent pigments and are used to manufacture thermoformed, cast, coated, inlayed, molded articles and reinforced composites. These phosphorescent resins glow-in-the-dark, and exhibit a long lasting, bright glow after exposure to light (photoluminescence). Products made from this Thermoformable, Long Lasting Phosphorescent Thermosetting Acrylic Resin overcome deficiencies in prior art, because they are thermoformable to a tighter radius, more ductile, tougher and more flexible, extremely weather resistant and have a longer afterglow. Furthermore, products made from this phosphorescent acrylic thermosetting resin have the novel ability to be joined using a phosphorescent thermoset acrylic adhesive that results in a chemical bond without the need of surface preparation.

  • Publication number: 20050034895
Abstract: In one embodiment, a directional apparatus is disclosed for orienting and maintaining a desired orientation of a drill bit, which will be attachable to a drill string and include an asymmetrically weighted outer sleeve that is susceptible to the earth's gravity in such fashion that the side of the sleeve having a higher specific gravity will be “down” when the directional apparatus is in a segment of non-vertical wellbore. A clutch is included for transmitting a desired amount of rotational energy from a rotating drill string to a drill assembly containing the drill bit. Sensors in the sleeve and/or other elements of the apparatus detect the orientation, which may be stored in memory. The apparatus may also include one or more anti-rotational elements.

  • Patent number: 6324271
Abstract: A system and method for caller identification, named certified caller ID (CCID) provides an enhancement to existing calling line identification services by providing the terminating end of a telephone call with a cryptographically-certified identity of the caller, rather than the identity associated with the calling telephone line. Advantageously, in the operation of CCID, the caller's identity is authenticated by a token, such as a smart card or other integrated circuit device which is capable of executing a cryptographic authentication protocol, optionally in conjunction with a Personal Identification Number (PIN) or biometric confirmation. Beneficially, CCID works in conjunction with several associated Customer Local Area Signalling Services (CLASS), e.g. Selective Call Acceptance, Selective Call Forwarding and Distinctive Ring to provide special call treatment based on the identity of the caller.
