  • Patent number: 11719313
Abstract: An actuator assembly for actuating air blocking elements of an outlet assembly is provided. The actuator assembly includes an actuator arm and a selector member operatively connected to the actuator arm to rotate the actuator arm about an arm axis. The actuator arm is operatively connected to a first air blocking element to rotate the first air blocking element towards its air blocking position without moving a second air blocking element upon rotation of the actuator arm in a first direction from a neutral, non-blocking position of the actuator arm about the arm axis. The actuator arm is operatively connected to the second air blocking element to rotate the second air blocking element towards its air blocking position without moving the first air blocking element upon rotation of the actuator arm in a second direction opposite the first direction from the neutral, non-blocking position.

  • Patent number: 11685236
Abstract: An outlet assembly having a plurality of different operating modes for improving air flow in an air distribution system is provided. The assembly includes a first blocking element supported by a first wall of a housing for movement between blocking and unblocking positions within a cavity of the housing. The first blocking element prevents a first layer of air from flowing immediately adjacent the first wall in its blocking position. A second blocking element is supported by a second wall of the housing for movement between blocking and unblocking positions within the cavity. The second blocking element prevents a second layer of air from flowing immediately adjacent the second wall in its blocking position. An actuator subassembly including a selector member is supported for movement between a plurality of predefined positions which correspond to first and second blocking modes and a nominal unblocking mode.

  • Patent number: 7461384
Abstract: An application program interface in a computer for allowing application programs executing in the computer to access a wireless RF input/output facility or port in the computer, which emulates a serial port in the computer by the steps of opening a handle to a virtual COM port from an application program executing in the computer; opening and configuring a serial port by the application program; starting a thread to receive characters to be communicated through the RF facility; and utilizing the virtual COM port to open a component interface to allow communications through wireless RF communications.

  • Publication number: 20080103451
Abstract: The present invention includes methods, kits and bandages that accommodate a medical device extending from an incision in a patient. The bandage includes an outer surface, inner absorbent layer and one or more closure mechanisms. The outer surface includes a slit extending from an outer peripheral edge to an inner peripheral edge that forms an aperture to accommodate a medical device. The inner absorbent layer is in contact with the outer surface and at least partially spans the aperture to accommodate the medical device. The one or more closure mechanisms are used to substantially seal the slit. The bandage is positioned about the incision and secured about the medical device for absorption.

  • Publication number: 20060116146
Abstract: A wireless networking system includes a network appliance and at least one mobile device. The mobile device comprises an application module, a discriminating application programming interface (API) that is executable within the context of the application and configured to receive data related to execution of the application and to determine whether the data is of a type that is to be monitored, and a monitoring API that is executable within the context of the application and configured to extract the data if the discriminating API determines the data is of a type that is to be monitored. The mobile device further comprises a wireless agent configured to extract and transmit the monitored data to the network appliance.

  • Publication number: 20060062955
Abstract: A decorative laminate includes a laminate substrate coated with an adhesive layer. The adhesive layer is a layer of a physically setting, solvent-free adhesive material including an acrylic polymer. The adhesive layer is self-adhesive at room temperature. The adhesive-coated laminate substrate has a peeling-off force of at least 0.2 N/mm2, after application on a carrier. A method for the production of the adhesive-coated laminate substrate, its use as a coating material, and a composite of the adhesive-coated laminate substrate and a carrier material are also provided.

  • Publication number: 20050239518
Abstract: The present invention manages power for state machines. The system and methods selectively apply, remove and/or reduce power to portions of the state machine, based on power management schemes, intelligence, a user, an application, etc. Such novel systems and methods provide for sustaining a CPU and/or a network radio in an “on” state, while lowering and/or removing power to other portions of the state machine to reduce power consumption. The foregoing enables a wireless mobile terminal to maintain network connectivity and be able to wake to service events such as a link status change, a network keep alive, a proxy-ARP packets, a re-authentication packets, etc. Such power management can execute in the background and return the wireless mobile terminal to a “run” state via invocation from a wake source such as a power control, a key, a trigger, a touch screen, a wake up timer, a wake-on-LAN, etc.
