  • Patent number: 7206414
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for selecting a sound algorithm for processing an audio signal. The audio signal is analyzed and the type of audio signal is ascertained based on the analysis. The audio signal is classified as a music signal or another signal, and different sound algorithms are used for the further processing and subsequent output of the audio signal.

  • Publication number: 20050137369
Abstract: The present invention is related to a linear functional polymer having repeating units A, B and D. Unit A represents —CH2—, unit B represents and unit D represents where R1 represents a polar functional group. There are at least four A units separating each B unit, each D unit, and each B and D unit. The value y represents the total number of B units and is an integer greater than or equal to 1. The total number of D units is represented by h and is an integer greater than or equal to 0. And x represents the total number of A units and is an integer sufficient that the molar fraction of the B and D units in the linear functional polymer is represented by a value j defined by the equation: j = y + h x + y + h ? 0.032 . The present invention is also directed to a method for preparing such linear functional polymers by copolymerizing a first polar substituted monomer and a second non-polar unsubstituted monomer.

  • Publication number: 20050006817
Abstract: An apparatus for forming panels from moldable material comprising: a material storage and feeding container for placing moldable material on a sheet of peel ply material on top of a conveyor. The conveyor has a roughened surface for gripping the sheet of peel ply material. The moldable material is leveled by a sizing plate which also places a second sheet of peel ply material over the moldable material to form a web. The web is compressed in a compression zone and is stabilized in thickness to form panels of compressed, dimensionally stabilized material as it is moved by the conveyor. Also disclosed is a method for making such panels from moldable material.

  • Patent number: 4341042
Abstract: A door spacer adapted for mounting in the space between a sliding door and its top track to prevent vertical motion of the sliding door into the space adjacent its top track member, comprising a base member and first and second legs forming a triangle with an apex which extends vertically into the space between the sliding door and the top track. Means are provided to move the point of attachment of one leg to the base longitudinally along the base to adjust the vertical height of the apex above the base of the door spacer.

  • Patent number: 4006560
Abstract: A Christmas tree stand consisting of a water bowl with a down-turned rim and channel-shaped legs with slots complementary to the lip of the rim and abutments below the slots complementary to an abutment on the rim. A link extends from the end of the leg nearest the center of the bowl downwardly to the bottom of the bowl where it is secured against upward movement by a bracket attached to the bottom of the bowl, the bracket including an up-turned end having a sharp point to penetrate and immobilize the bottom of the tree trunk. The top end of each link and leg are threaded to receive a tree trunk engaging screw. As the trunk engaging screws are tightened to secure the tree trunk in an upright position at the center of the bowl, an outward force is applied to the top end of each link and the inner end of the corresponding leg, making the entire structure rigid.
