  • Publication number: 20070058665
Abstract: Contention communications often requires a station to wait an inordinate amount of time before the station is able to transmit its data successfully. In many applications, an extended delay is not acceptable. Contention-free communications in a contention period allows a hybrid coordinator (HC) to schedule contention-free access to a communications medium so that extended delays may be eliminated, and to coordinate contention access to the medium so that better throughput and delay performance is achieved. A method for creating contention-free communications within a contention communications period is presented, along with adaptive algorithms for contention access during the same contention period.

  • Publication number: 20070017862
Abstract: A high-pressure, water recycling, spray tire wash system with an elevated wash rack having water collection trays therebeneath. A number of high-pressure spray heads are spaced along each side of the wash rack for collecting used wash water. There are a plurality of high-pressure sprauy heads arranged along the side of the wash rack so as to direct water to the tires of a vehicle on the rack. Water collected on the trays is conveyed to a primary settling tank, and then a secondary tank, for clarification and polishing of the water, and then through filters to a holding tank where the polished and filtered water is stored awaiting use. High-pressure pumps direct water through hoses to spray head manifolds and then to the high-pressure spray heads, where water is ejected at a pressure ranging from about 900 psi to 1500 psi at the vehicle tires to clean them.

  • Publication number: 20050245199
Abstract: A wireless transceiver 10 is provided that includes a configurable analog component 14 and a controller portion 18. The configurable analog component 14 is operable to receive an input radio frequency signal and to transmit the output radio frequency signal. The controller portion 18 is operable to promote adjustment of a bandwidth of the configurable analog component 14 from at least a first bandwidth to a second bandwidth.

  • Publication number: 20050113041
Abstract: A system comprises a wireless device that communicates across a spectrum having a plurality of sub-channels. The wireless device comprises a plurality of antennas through which the wireless device communicates with another wireless device, wherein each antenna communicates with the other wireless device via an associated communication pathway. The wireless device further comprises sub-channel power analysis logic coupled to the antennas and adapted to determine which communication pathway has the highest communication quality on a sub-channel by sub-channel basis. The wireless device still further comprises diversity selection logic coupled to the sub-channel power analysis logic and adapted to determine a weighting vector for an associated antenna based on the communication quality, wherein the weighting vector specifies a relative transmission power for each sub-channel for the associated antenna.
