  • Patent number: 6729472
Abstract: A container assembly is provided, including a container and a flexible lid. The container includes a base, and a sidewall extending upwardly and outwardly from the periphery of the base toward an open upper end defining a container opening. A rounded-ridge extends upwardly outward from the upper end. The flexible lid has an inner rim and an outer rim. An interior portion of the inner rim forms a mechanical lock with a peripheral edge on the lower base of the container thereby preventing loss of the lid, while also providing a more stable container assembly. The outer rim forms a mechanical lock with the rounded ridge to close the upper end of the container during use.
