  • Patent number: 5002209
Abstract: A pouring device for positioning in an outlet of a container, the pouring device comprising a tubular body which is arranged to be locatable in the container outlet and a series of breather tubes which are mounted around an end of the tubular body and extend away from the tubular body, the breather tubes being movable from a first position, at which the breather tubes are substantially axially aligned with the tubular body to a second position, at which the breather tubes are inclined to the axis of the tubular body.

  • Patent number: 4809870
Abstract: Insert (1) for fixing into openings, the insert being manufactured in at least two parts having openings therethrough, the parts being joined together so as the openings are in communication. One cap member (2) and at least one locking member (3) are required to form an insert, whereby the cap member interfaces with the external surrounding suface of an opening and the locking member interfaces with the internal surrounding surface of an opening so as to fixedly locate the assembled insert within the opening and cause both the insert and the opening to flex to a certain extent, whereby the insert is snugly fitted in the opening and any movement between the insert and the opening is accommodated by flexural movement of either or both the insert and/or the opening without affecting the seal between them.

  • Patent number: 4804119
Abstract: A container including a neck portion leading to an outlet from the neck located outwardly thereof, the cross sectional area of the outlet being greater than the cross sectional area of the neck portion thereby providing a shoulder in the neck which in a pouring operation causes liquid flowing from the container to separate from an upper portion of the outlet and a duct communicating between the neck and the interior of the container whereby as liquid empties from the container in a pouring operation the resulting pressure differential arising between the interior of the container adjacent the inlet of the duct and the atomosphere draws air in an unimpeded manner into the container.

  • Patent number: 4509665
Abstract: A pouring device which is fixed into the outlet of a liquid container. The device has a main portion and bifurcated legs which conform to the internal shape of the container outlet. A vent tube provides access for air forced into the container by the low pressure zone therein created by the outflow of liquid. The area between the legs constitutes the outlet path for a continuous stream of liquid from the container. The legs are spaced apart to facilitate mounting of the device in the container outlet.

  • Patent number: 4221308
Abstract: The invention relates to an improved pouring spout for pouring liquid from an enclosed container and adapted to be sealingly located within a discharge opening in the container, the spout being moveable to a fully retracted position within the container when a closure is sealingly engaged with the discharge opening, the spout being further moveable to a fully extended position outside the container when the closure is removed from the discharge opening prior to a pouring operation.
