  • Patent number: 4833880
Abstract: A fluidic set point amplifier provides an output signal which is strongly linear with respect to pressure of fluid supply, free of hysteresis, and has a zero crossing (set point) at a determined value of supply pressure. Uses of the set point amplifier include an all-fluidic pressure regulator, and a turbine engine fuel control having only a single moving part.

  • Patent number: 4224964
Abstract: A binary fluidic counter which produces two outputs, each having a frequency one-half the frequency of the supply. The counter incorporates a pair of bi-stable fluidic amplifiers, the first receiving a pulsed fluid supply while the second receives a continuous fluid supply and has inputs directly connected with the outputs of the bi-stable director. The second bi-stable amplifier acts as a memory device. Feedback circuits respectively interconnect the outputs of the second memory device with the inputs of the first amplifier. Monostable fluidic OR gates interposed in the feedback circuits respectively permit and prevent interconnection of the outputs of the second amplifier with the inputs of the first amplifier in relation to the pulse signals being transmitted from the first to the second amplifier.

  • Patent number: 4029979
Abstract: The subject transducer consists basically of a flexible element, such as a wire, formed and supported to vibrate at a frequency depending, in part, upon the tension of the element. Means are provided to vary the tension of the element in accordance with a condition which it is proposed to monitor and a fluidic circuit is associated with the element to create a signal in accordance with the vibration of the element, the signal in turn being applied to an electric means to convert the signal into one which can actuate an electrical meter or the like. The device may be modified to include means for initially adjusting the tension of the element to set the system on zero indication and other means for adjusting the tension automatically to compensate for temperature variations.

  • Patent number: 3993101
Abstract: An electrofluidic transducer which utilizes an electromagnetic device that is energizable by electric currents of opposite polarity to shift a fluid beam in opposite directions away from a central position. In its central position the beam deflector is between a pair of fluid nozzles, and shifts to deflect respective fluid beam from the two nozzles upon opposite energization of the electromagnet, so that three different pressure differential signals may be selectively impressed upon a pair of fluid output ports registering with the pair of fluid nozzles.

  • Patent number: H221
Abstract: A ramjet fuel control system that provides a regulated fuel pressure of a predetermined differential between the fuel pump pressure and the inlet pressure to a metering valve. The differential regulator uses a spool valve and sleeve in which the sleeve has ports positioned to prevent hydrodynamic flow force while the sleeve metering valve spool has rectangular ports so that the metering area which is uncovered by the spool is linearly related to the stroke of the valve spool.
