  • Publication number: 20240085989
Abstract: Systems and methods for radial gesture navigation are provided. In example embodiments, user input data is received from a user device. The user input data indicates a continuous physical user interaction associated with a display screen of the user device. An initial point and a current point are detected from the user input data. A radius distance for a circle that includes the current point and is centered about the initial point is determined. An action is selected from among multiple actions based on the radius distance being within a particular range among successive ranges along a straight line that starts at the initial point and extends through the circle. Each range among the successive ranges corresponds to a particular action among the multiple actions. The selected action is performed in response to detecting a completion of the continuous physical user interaction.

  • Publication number: 20080204269
Abstract: A remote control apparatus includes a casing with several function key modules, a setup key, two display units, two switching key modules corresponding to the display units, a function key module for setting remote control contents, and several switching keys. The casing has a circuit board and a control unit on the circuit board for connecting the display units, switching key modules, setup key and function key module. After the setup key is triggered to enter into a setting mode, the control unit displays the content information on the display unit and proximate to the switching key and records the content information and switching key code, and then defines and records the remote control content for each function key module corresponding to at least one switching key. Therefore, users can distinguish the switching keys, corresponding content information, and operation instructions of function key modules corresponding to different switching keys.

Abstract: A footrest platform is mounted to a chassis of a medical scooter. The footrest platform includes a net-like structure forming a plurality of interconnected apertures for ventilation and drainage of water and elimination of deposition of dust on the platform. The net-like structure forms a rough pattern, which helps preventing slipping. A plurality of ribs extends across the apertures for reinforcing the net-like structure. Resilient fastening strips are integrally formed on opposite sides of the net-like structure and are fit over the chassis of the medical scooter to secure the footrest platform to the chassis. An opening is defined in the platform for the extension of a steering shaft of the medical scooter therethrough.

  • Patent number: 5937023
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for detecting a minor variation of capacity via accumulation and a circuit for detecting the same. An oscillated pulse signal is generated by a delay accumulating circuit which includes a logic device having an open drain and a pull up resistance. The generated pulse signal is then sent to a microprocessor via a counter. The microprocessor will determine whether there is a variation of the frequency of the pulse signal. When a variation of capacity is detected at the detecting polar plate connected to the testing terminal of the delay accumulating circuit, the microprocessor picks up and determines this variation. The present invention can be applied to a plurality longitudinal and transverse polar plates. When a conductor is moved along the polar plates, the variation of the capacity resulting from the movement of the conductor above the static capacity detecting plate can be readily detected.

  • Patent number: 5473126
Abstract: A joystick switch assembly includes a U-shaped bottom shell covered with a cover shell, a joystick extending out of the cover shell and having a contact plate at the bottom received within the bottom shell, an upper membrane circuit and a lower membrane circuit mounted on the joystick inside the bottom shell and separated by the contact plate, an upper conductive rubber disposed between the contact plate and the upper membrane circuit, a lower conductive rubber disposed between the contact plate and the lower membrane circuit, wherein the contact plate has two convex portions on two opposite sides thereof. Moving the joystick causes the convex portions to squeeze the conductive rubbers which caused variations in impedances across impedance points on the membrane circuits, and therefore a signal output is varied in proportion to the amount and direction of the movement of the joystick.
