Abstract: A character display apparatus for an intelligence television is provided. The apparatus enables the television to simultaneously display a television broadcast signal and a communication signal corresponding to communication service information supplied via a value added communication network. For example, the apparatus may contain an information processing system, a signal switching device, display driver, and a microcomputer. The information processing system receives the communication service information from the value added communication network and outputs a corresponding screen information signal and a switching control signal. The signal switching device selects and switches between the screen information signal and the television broadcast signal based on the switching control signal. Then, the switching device outputs a corresponding selected signal.

Abstract: A wide-band cathode-ray tube driving circuit is disclosed for increasing the high-frequency response characteristic and the band-width of an amplifier in a video signal processing system. The circuit comprises a color difference signal processor, a luminance signal processor, a cathode-ray tube, a differential amplification circuit for differentially amplifying a color difference signal and a luminance signal and supplying the amplified signals to the cathode-ray tube and a current control circuit for controlling the amount of current flow in the differential amplification circuit. Abstract: The present invention relates to a pulse width modulation (PWM) decoder, and more particularly to a PWM decoder which demodulates a pulse width modulated signal for proper interface with the operational characteristics of an object to be controlled. The present invention includes a PWM input terminal for receiving a PWM signal, an integrator for converting the PWM signal to a linear analog signal, and a transfer characteristic converter for changing the slope of the transfer characteristic of the integrator, so that a microcomputer can be interfaced with a signal processor without changing the microcomputer's internal design.
