  • Patent number: 8416963
Abstract: The present invention relates to a system for providing a personalized driving sound by using an active sound design. The system includes a sound design tool, a memory card, and an audio system. The sound design tool enables a user to create the driving sound. The memory card receives and stores the created driving sound from the sound design tool. The audio system outputs the driving sound stored in the memory card.

  • Patent number: 7379073
Abstract: A method of restoring RGB gray scale data for maintaining a sharpness of a screen and reducing a size of a memory is disclosed. The RGB gray scale data having M bits are truncated to generate a first RGB gray scale data having N bits, M being a positive integer and N being an integer less than M. RGB gray scale data information is generated based on a bit information of the first RGB gray scale data. A bit value of a MSB of the first RGB gray scale data is compared with a value of a dither table based on the RGB gray scale data information to generate a comparison value, when a bit value of at least one bit of the first RGB gray scale data is different from other bit values of the first RGB gray scale data. The first RGB gray scale data are compensated based on the RGB gray scale data information and the comparison value. Thus, the sharpness of a screen may be maintained and the size of the memory may be reduced.

  • Publication number: 20070188434
Abstract: An apparatus for driving a display panel includes: a memory that stores pixel data to be displayed on the display panel; a multiple line selection (MLS) decoder that receives a plurality of pixel data from the memory and then decodes the plurality of pixel data simultaneousty, and a plurality of column drivers that activate a corresponding plurality of column lines of the display panel in order to output the decoded pixel data to the panel, wherein the MLS decoder is shared by the plurality of column lines. Accordingly, the plurality of column lines shares the MLS decoder and, thus, a chip size can be reduced. Moreover, since the memory outputs the pixel data using a single output line, the memory size can be reduced, as well. Furthermore, the apparatus includes the memory that supports a burst read mode, thereby reducing power consumption.

  • Patent number: 5360753
Abstract: In an element isolation method of a semiconductor device which can form an element isolation region having a flat surface without regard to the width of the element isolation region, and whose width is below the resolution limit, an insulating film having an aperture in order to define the element isolation region is formed on the semiconductor wafer, wherein an oxidizable material layer is deposited and then first spacers are formed on the sidewalls of the aperture. Then, a thermal oxide film is formed over the entire semiconductor wafer, excluding a first-spacer-formed region, and the first spacer is removed. The wafer surface is exposed to the lower part of the removed first spacer region, and then the portion of the semiconductor wafer below the exposed region is etched to thereby form a trench. After that, an element isolation region is formed by filling up the trench and removing the insulating film around tile trench.
