Abstract: Provided herein is a path computation element based on Transport Network Assigned (TNA) address and a method for path computation based on User Network Interface (UNI). The path computation element and UNI based path computation method of the present disclosure minimize overhead caused by abstract Traffic Engineering (TE) link, and minimize manual environment set up, and routing information exchange and advertisements in a local domain or between domains.

Abstract: Provided is an access node including: a receiver to receive subscriber information associated with a subscriber from a residential gateway of the subscriber and a service request from the subscriber; a storage unit to store registration information comprising the subscriber information and service information received from a plurality of service providers; and a processor to provide, to the residential gateway, a service corresponding to the service request based on the subscriber information.

Abstract: A service access method and device, a user authentication device, and a terminal are provided. A service access method includes requesting a terminal to transmit authentication information in response to a service access request that is received from the terminal, receiving the authentication information from the terminal, permitting a temporary access to the terminal based on a result of a temporary authentication performed based on the authentication information, and processing a main authentication based on the authentication information.

Abstract: Provided are an apparatus and method for testing call processing performance and conformance of a media gateway controller and a media gateway with respect to a media gateway control (MEGACO) protocol. The method includes generating a predetermined scenario regarding a test of call processing performance of a media gateway controller or a media gateway; selecting a function of the media gateway controller or the media gateway and emulating virtual analog lines between the media gateway controller and the media gateway according to the scenario; and testing the call processing performance of the media gateway controller or the media gateway using the virtual analog lines and the selected media gateway controller or the media gateway. Accordingly, it is possible to effectively test the call processing performance of the media gateway controller or a media gateway without test equipment.

Abstract: An improved rare probability connection call registration method which utilizes automatic congestion level (ACL) information within a release message for an asynchronous transfer mode (ATM) switching system. The method includes the steps of setting a predetermined threshold value, receiving a call releasing message, checking automatic congestion level (ACL) information in the call release message, and determining whether an ACL information is set. When the ACL information is not set continuous checks are made, and the method continues by increasing the count value when the ACL information is set, and it is determined whether the value of the ACL counter is greater than a predetermined threshold value.
